A New Year, an Old Subject

First of all, I want to wish all of you a most happy and blessing-filled 2018.

I’m looking forward to it with new music, a new book and other new undertakings and projects we will be introducing throughout the year, God willing.

Now to the business at hand.

Donald Trump has been president for almost a year now and the country is still as shocked and divided as it was at midnight on November 8, 2017 when Hillary’s planned balloon extravaganza failed to take place and the cold light of reality dawned on the “progressive “faction of our nation that there would be no Hillary Clinton presidency, no continuation of the Obama policies no further march toward socialism, no more timid language when it came to terrorism, no more doormat diplomacy.

There could be no cover-up of all Hillary Clinton’s careless handling of American secrets and the fact that they paid for the creation of a dossier that supposedly linked the Trump campaign with the Russian government.

There could no longer be a way to conceal how corrupt the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Internal Revenue Service had become on Obama’s eight-year watch.

The ridiculous charade of a deal with Iran would be exposed for the ultra-expensive farce that it is.

The failure of Bill Clinton’s deal with North Korea would be back to bite America and the rest of the free world in the posterior as NK’s nuclear development, which Clinton told the world was over, has reached fruition and threatens the US mainland and our allies and could well be the spark to start of World War III, if not dealt with forthwith and properly.

This and many other things that rode below the water line on the Obama-Clinton ship of state are now coming to light.

This wasn’t supposed to happen, Hillary was a shew in, or at least she was for the power brokers and elite media who never cross the East River or go outside the Beltway where the hard-working people who keep this nation strong and vital, live and suffered under Obama’s economy and repressive and unnecessary regulations.

They never talked to the coal miners that Obama declared he’d put out of business. they never went to the voters who had watched their companies, in many cases the livelihood of whole towns for generations, move to foreign countries, taking their jobs and their dreams with them.

They never valued the opinions of people who wondered why, when America had enough fossil fuel to last for generations, we would continue to import oil from nations who hated our guts and would like nothing better than to destroy us.

They forgot middle America, read the polls, toasted each other and excitedly looked forward to the Utopian government of Hillary Rodham Clinton, a government of unfettered illegal immigration, expanded social programs, more subsidies and all the means it took to create a voting base that would keep them in office ad infinitum.

With more timid foreign policy and acquiescence to the will of the United Nations, a smaller military commanded by administration-friendly political hacks who would turn it, not into a fearless fighting force but a politically correct social experiment.

That’s was not how this was supposed to play out, the choice of the establishment, the darling of the left, the lady whose contempt for the rank and file citizens of this nation, its military, its time-honored traditions were barely concealed beneath a facade of drooling media coverage and selective public exposure, was supposed to take the oath of office and get on with the march toward global government.

And what happens, a brash billionaire, who had never held office on any level, who was hated and bashed by all mainstream media, who was laughed at by the establishment, not even uniformly supported by his own party won it all.

Why? Because what he said was easily understood by people who were sick and tired of seeing their country being turned into a sanctuary for anybody who could walk across an international border, a haven for unvetted refugees who posed a clear and present threat of violence to our families.

He spoke about the jobs, and not in the rhetorical, off-handed fashion that Hillary Clinton and her ilk talked about them, but went into the hurting areas and told the unemployed workforce, “Do you want to see these factories come back? Do you want to go back to work?” well vote for me and I’ll make it happen.

He appealed to people who wondered why a president would light the White House with a rainbow but refuse to allow the least semblance of the true meaning of Christmas to be displayed there.

He clicked with those who were tired of seeing the police who stood between them and the violence that stalks the streets being belittled, called stupid, their side never taken by the administration.

They were tired of knowing that drugs flowed freely and basically unabated across our southern border and the number of people who died from opioid addiction increased every year with not so much as an acknowledgement from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

They were appalled at seeing four of America’s most dangerous enemies traded for one soldier who walked off his post, went to the enemy side and cost the lives of brave men who went looking for him, thinking he’d been captured.

They could never understand why a president would agree to send $400 million dollars in cash to the biggest exporter of Radical Islamic Terrorism on the planet.

They could not understand a president who would bow to a king whose country suppresses the women’s rights he was supposed to support so vigorously.

And many Christians and Jews of America resented the shoddy way Obama treated our only ally in the Middle East, Israel.

To them, her untrustworthiness and her barely concealed arrogance notwithstanding, Hillary represented more of the same, and they’d just had enough.

And if it took a brash, egotistical nonpolitical New Yorker to break the chain, so be it, they went to the polls and voted their desire to make America respected, prosperous, safe, proud and great again.

Of course, the establishment, the liberals and mainstream media will never forgive Donald Trump for smashing their Utopian dream and are doing everything in their considerable power to bring him down in any way they can.

But here they go again, they are ignoring the common folks, the ones who like seeing all the new jobs being created, manufacturing coming back, a march to energy independence, the stock market soaring to uncharted heights, police being respected, the military being revitalized and somebody who is willing to step outside the protocol of diplomatic vernacular and call out a bully that should have been dealt with by every president for the last 40 years.

Going to be an interesting 2018 to say the least.

What do you think?

Pray for our troops, our police and the peace of Jerusalem

God Bless America

Come on now
It is no secret how Trump won. He cheated. He said it himself, the election was rigged. He could walk down 5th Avenue, shoot someone, and he would not lose a single vote. I am a working man in a low paying job in the deep red South. I am used to people not listening to me. But I hate it when people like Charlie tell me what I am thinking. There is no excuse for voting for Trump. He walked into the presidency with a televised boast about sexually assaulting women. He walked in with a judgement against him in a scam he ran that would have put most of us in prison. He begged a hostile foreign government to hack into government computers. And you voted for him. Time to reap the harvest of that vote. There was no excuse for it.

Well said, Charlie. Every red-blooded American should read this. Too many don't realize how close we were to the brink. The Establishment of both parties have been ruining America. They and Obama brought us President Trump. Get over it and get to work. Their approval rating is less than half the president's. Drain the swamp. Term Limits. Keep up the good work, Charlie.

Dana speaks the truth. You voted for a candidate that mocked a disabled reporter, bragged about the ability to grab women's genitals without their consent, insulted a POW stating that he prefers the soldiers that don't get caught, deferred the draft himself because he had "bad feet," and had multiple illegal scams including his so-called university. How this megalomaniac became the representative of evangelicals is an insult to Christianity. If that is not enough - his time in office has shown his inability to offer solutions to problems such as our health care system (stating that he had no idea it was so complicated). His other statements and tweets show him to be totally inept. The issues with money laundering and the Russians is not a media driven conspiracy. The "corrupt media" is reminiscent of many of the statements made by Nixon during Watergate. In a few years we won't be arguing about this. People will be embarrassed to say that they supported this person.

Make America Great Again
Amen, Amen & Amen Charlie, I see President Trump as a Trump Card over the Obamamites, I see the President as a Trumpet for the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob, the only true God, I have no doubt that God raised Donald Trump up for day and hour in which we live. I pray daily that the scales will fall of the eyes of those who cannot see the socialist agenda of Obama and Clinton, that they come to realize that the rules and regulations passed beginning with Bush's Patriot Act are not about our security and safety but about Big Brother knowing your every move and controlling your thoughts, your actions and your lot in life. That they see how the nomination was stolen from Bernie Sanders by the Clintons, Obama and the DNC. I can only thank God that we went from worst president in America history, sewer rat Barack Hussein Obama to the best in at least generations, Donald John Trump. Maybe just like John the Baptist was perceived by many in his day to be a crazy man who did not drink wine, Donald JOHN Trump who does not drink wine is perceived by many today to be a crazy man with crazy hair. In closing Mr Daniels I agree with all that you said, but believe that the 400 million in cash is actually less than a third of the amount that the Muslim president gave to his brothers in Iran from hard working, gun toting, bible believing Americans. I'm proud to be a deplorable redneck. nuff said God Bless Plowboy

You've summed it up quite well Charlie, thank you. The swamp (I call it the sewer) won't be drained for a while and I get impatient with it all sometimes, but I am so very grateful crooked Hillary wasn't able to rig the Presidency like she did the nomination. I do believe it would have been the end for us and the world. Thanks, Charlie. God Bless you and yours.

In reference to come on now, I am ready to reap the harvest. I had rather die free and what I stand for than live under the control of a one world utopia. Our young people are being destroyed daily by drugs, murder, pornography, trafficking, lack of jobs, spiritual darkness, etc. Trump may be our last chance. God will one day say enough and Jesus will return for His bride! The lost will perish forever! People need to confess and repent before it is too late!

Outstanding
Mr. Daniels you sir are spot on! Wouldn't it be nice if people would open their eyes and ears and realize the picture that is being painted by some media sources and some of our self serving politicians is not something for the best interest of the United States of America!

Middle and working Americans are about to get the biggest shaft since the trickle down cowboy, and Clinton didn't have a deal with North Korea that was orchestrated by double agent Rumsfeld and assistance from a Chinese scientist and guess who introduced them?

You're delusional.
Most daft thing I've ever read. Calling an institution (the FBI) corrupt solely because it's investigating a president you support, whom has engaged in blatant criminal behavior, is insane. Additionally >the ones who like seeing all the new jobs being created, manufacturing coming back Fewer jobs were created in 2017 than any of the past 6 years. >But here they go again, they are ignoring the common folks Kind of like the majority of Alabamans who reject your populist Trumpism in easily one of the most overwhelmingly red states in the country? LMAO Also, sorry, but Obama and Hillary Clinton won an overwhelming majority of Jews, so don't group us in with you nut jobs.

Thankful
Thank you Charlie Daniels! Well said sir! I totally agree with everything you said! Iโ€™m so thankful for the few celebrities that understand & voice their opinions. Iโ€™ve always been a fan & Iโ€™m even prouder to be a fan of Charlie Daniels today! Looking forward to 2018 with President Trump! God Bless America ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

A House Divided
A House DIvided are the words of Jesus and were also used Abe Lincoln to proclaim that the USA could not continue with slavery. I see just as much division today in the country. When I read posts by Solomon say that the the majority of Jews supported Hillary, I remember one of Obama's last dastardly deeds of appointing Ben Rhodes, Iran deal maker who would not care if we have another Holocaust , to the Holocaust Memorial Council. Talk about an insult to Israel, but we also remember that Jews do not comprise all 12 tribes of Israel. And to Dana's statement about no excuse of voting for Trump, I can only state that no Christian can vote for a candidate who supports the wholesale murder of innocent babies, call it choice if you want, but mister it don't wash the innocent blood from anyone's hands. On another note a Federal Judge has just dismissed ALL charges against Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy because of flagrant prosecutorial misconduct by federal prosecutors. The truth shall make you free. Fortunately this one did not end like Clinton's Waco, but another prime example of Obama going after anyone he did not like using whatever federal agency he could find that would trample the US Constitution. nuff said God Bless Plowboy

I could understand voting for someone who shares your values but why Trump? Trump is happy to do away with abortion because he is never going to need one and it gets him votes. But why did you not vote for any of the other Republican candidates? Why vote for the least competent, least principled one of the bunch? Do you know he has ties to the Mafia? That he frequently and publicly committed adultery? That he dodged the draft through a phony ailment? That he brags about sexual assaults? That he says cheating on his income taxes makes him a smart person? You could have voted for Jeb Bush or Rick Perry or Ted Cruz or Mike Huckabee. Why on earth did you vote for Trump?

Dana's Answer
Dana, Jeb, not another Bush especially after 2 Skull & Bones Bushes, Rick Perry was a good choice, Ted Cruz questionable because wife is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Mike Huckabee excellent choice, Dr. Ben Carson undoubtedly better than any of the others. When November came Trump was the one on the ticket, being an outsider was good, being an honorable and successful businessman a plus. I must clarify that I had a business dealing with President Trump 10 years ago and can honestly he is a honorable man, and I also still remember the words of a great Texas businessman Ross Perot, who said if the USA signed NAFTA we would hear a Giant Sucking Sound, nobody has been more correct than that. In closing Dana I'm praying that Trump's tax cut helps move you from a low paying job into a very prosperous position where your employer sees your true worth and ethic. nuff said God Bless Plowboy

AMEN
I am a what society calls a millennial I am 19 years old. I could not be any more proud of my president Donald Trump. What is wrong with working for what you want in live? I want to learn and be lead by a person and people that believe that hard work pays of. Hand outs do not teach anything other then extending your hand out further. I want to be part of a nation that respects those that are their to protect us (law enforcement ,military). I want to be part of a nation that protects our rights. I want more then anything to be part of a nation that I can freely hang an American flag up in more dorm room and not be ridiculed for it . I stand proud to be an American, and could not be anymore proud of our president Donald Trump. God Bless America!

I love your music Charlie but Dana is right. Trump has been nothing but broken promises and embarrassments so far. I firmly believe he is guilty of all the crimes he has been accused of. There is no reason for an innocent man to lie as much as Trump has. In fact, Trump and his whole team has lied repeatedly, especially about Russia. Trump, Trump Jr, Manafort, Flynn and Sessions all liars.
