Meet the Press - Soapbox, Jr.

Something happened on Thursday, that I wasn’t sure would ever happen. President Joe Biden stood in front of the White House Press Corps and took “questions” for the first time since he was inaugurated on January 20th. That’s 65 days.

65 days…

That’s longer than any president in the past 100 years.

The reviews from the mainstream media were fawning, as to be expected, but for those that watched or listened to without the glowing admiration of a media that was happy that the evil “orange bad man” was no longer at the podium, there was cause for concern, a lot of concern.

I guess at this point, I need to add a disclaimer that I’ve added in the past. Dad and I shared similar beliefs, and nothing I am about to write conflicts with his opinions. If I ever write something on a soapbox that goes against dad’s beliefs, I will highlight that so that there is no confusion that I’m speaking contrary to dad’s beliefs and principles.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming…

Some of the sycophant media reviews I saw said “excels,” “strong, sure and focused,” “sails through debut.”

I kind of agree with the last one, if they meant sail as in sailing through a hurricane with a huge rip in the mainsail, right before the mast cracks and smashes through the hull of the ship. That I would agree with...

In short, the first – and so far, only – Joe Biden press conference was disastrous. Uncle Joe needed a ton of notes, and to be fair, other presidents have used notes, but not to the degree that Joe did, sometimes reading large parts of his answers directly from them.

The Guardian went as far as to praise his use of notes, “And he needn’t commit to memory boring details” regarding US vs. China infrastructure details,” but more concerning is that his “cheat sheet” of reporters seemed to be already determined beforehand. Most of the press corps that were called were mostly softball questions, with only mildly tough questions on the border non-crisis.

So, the White House had pre-determined which reporters to call, and which to exclude, specifically Fox News’ Peter Doocy, which is generally the only correspondent to ask Biden’s press secretary, Jen Psaki, any substantial hard-hitting questions. I doubt they wanted to take a chance with Joe going off-script.

But even having binders and cards, and cheat sheets (oh my…), Joe still predictably wandered into territory that no one could decipher,

"The best way to get something done, if you, if you hold near and dear to you that you, uh ... um, like to be able to ... anyway ..."

There were other mental lapses, which other than those who have been paying attention for the last couple of years, have been swept aside with a “Nothing to see here” attitude from the Biden camp.

There were not even any questions regarding his health after he stumbled and fell three times on the stairs to board Air Force One recently, allegedly from the wind. The kind of wind it would take to knock down an average grown man would be – in my opinion – more than the wind that appeared to be gently causing the back of his suit jacket to flutter.

Yes, I have my strong opinions about Joe Biden, his politics and his health, so I’m willing to admit my biases, so I’m not even going to go into all of the fact-checking I could regarding the truthfulness of much of his answers, but even Fox News Chris Wallace - a registered Democrat – seemed uneasy at what he witnessed, specifically the handling of answers to nearly every foreign policy question, in the same way that Jen Psaki often speaks while looking over White House talking points.

Wallace said, “covering Ronald Reagan for six years I never saw that. Watching a lot of news conferences over the years I have never seen that, a president at a news conference reading talking points. He did that on it seemed every foreign policy question.”

I’ve been saying that Joe Biden isn’t mentally up for the job of president for quite a while now, I saw nothing yesterday to change my mind, in fact, after seeing his mind getting lost while in a sea of less than hardball questions, I think it’s even more concerning, and confirms to me that before the end of the year, we will be seeing the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States of America.

That’s just my opinion.

But you know who else was watching? Russia and China, Iran, North Korea and others.

Do you think they saw a strong leader yesterday?

I don’t. And that should be concerning to everyone.

What do you think?

Pray for our troops, our police, the peace of Jerusalem and for our nation.

God Bless America

Amen, Amen & Amen Charlie Jr, Joe Biden is past Concerning he is downright scary, along with Pelosi, Schumer and the rest of the commie democrat elitists. What they think they will gain by destroying America is un-conceivable to a redneck like myself. In my opinion the only one's dumber than Biden are the people who voted for him. How they can say Black Lives Matter but don't believe that unborn black babies matter is mind boggling. Biden calling Georgia's new law to protect voting integrity " Jim Crow in the 21st Century" is the party of the KKK playing the race card as usual. As I read the daily news I'm reminded of Jeff Foxworthy's "you might be a redneck". Today I see my self in the leftest agenda " You might be a Terrorist" . I don't know what these people smoke and or ingest to come up with this craziness. Tell me where in history have we had an innocent 3 year old girl, whose mother was a stripper, her dad a crackhead and her grandpa president of the USA?......nuff said God Bless and Happy Passover...Plowboy

I won't go into too much detail with my post but Biden is 100% unfit for office. The press conference was a total disaster. Even many liberal democrats are starting to see the ineptness their votes have unleashed. I also believe that we will see the 47th president lay her hand on the Bible and take the oath of office. America's heading downhill like a snowball headed for Hell as ole Merle used to sing. I give Biden until Christmas at the latest but probably more like the 4th of July. This country needs heavy duty prayers!

Joe Biden
Everything you have mentioned here is perfectly clear to conservatives. What I don't understand is, how is it that liberals can't see what we see? Or is it, that they just refuse to see the truth?

I don't like how he thinks you can go house-to-house or he's trying to anyway

Facts are Damning
Excellent and funny. You have your Dad's sense of humor on politics. "Needn't commit to memory boring details." Wow, no, even if they are his major policies that supposedly anchor his agenda. And when they were not things he ran on. He didn't run on any of this crap. The people would have rejected it en masse. Instead, he is a Trojan Horse. Funny though how he can remember cheap Democrat talking point lies, to repeat them on a loop. That he has down. ~ NIMOC

My comments on this on Facebook
I agree with you and I commented on Facebook where this is posted. I stand by my comments and as I said there I don’t know where this country is headed but if we don’t change course soon the future looks grim.

I loved your Dad's music. I liked his politics also. I saw an interview he did once where he commented on lobbyist. He stated that lobbyist should be outlawed.I totally agree with him. There are 5 federal laws that are violated when a congressman or Senator accepts money in exchange for their vote on some sort of legislation. I don't have my notebook with me that has the laws in it or else I wed ould print them out for you.

Poor old Joe. He is a befuddled old guy. He needs to leave the American problems to his advisor's and Kamala. Never putting himself in such a pitiful position again.
