Law
What is a law? And I will not go to Mr. Webster for the definition,
but to my mental dictionary of cowboy logic.
A law is a code of conduct which is set by whatever legislative entity
holds power. A standard to which all citizens must conform, whether
they agree with it or not. You may think it's safe to drive 65mph in
a 55mph speed zone but if you're caught doing it you're going to get
a ticket.
You may think it's fine to have ten large mouth bass in your live well
when the limit is five. But if the game warden finds you over the limit
you're going to pay for it.
Laws are made for the protection of a nation's or a community's protection
and without laws there's no peace, no safety and no civilization.
Just because you don't agree with a law doesn't mean you can break it
with impunity and if enough people decide to do it, the only thing left
to society is anarchy.
The new law giving police the authority to determine someone's citizenship
after having stopped them for a violation, or perceived violation of
the law, is not racist, not discriminatory and not meant to single out
anyone, it is only to determine their American citizenship.
That responsibility actually belongs to the federal government but due
to the lack of common sense and guts in Washington it has fallen to
the state government to protect the people of the state of Arizona.
With a significant population ratio of Latino citizens in the state
of Arizona I do not believe the legislators voted it into being or the
governor signed it into law without much consternation. The political
pressure must have been trememdous.
But unlike the federal government the state government did not shirk
their duty to protect their citizens and took the bull by the horns.
This law is not a thoughtlessly passed piece of legislation but was
provoked by lawlessness including kidnapping, drug trafficking and cold
blooded murder.
If you think you're getting the whole story of what's going in Arizona
from the media you are sadly mistaken. There is all but total anarchy
with ordinary citizens being killed and beaten by violent gangs who
transport their drugs across the privately owned land of ranchers whose
families have been ranching on the border since the 1800's.
The rancher who was recently murdered was not a random choice but was
lured to his death by a drug gang that he had defied and a family in
that area was beaten in their own house for the same reason.
Arizona doesn't have time for the spineless, out of touch bunch of milksops
in Washington to pass some totally meaningless and toothless piece of
politically correct legislation.
They needed action now and they took it.
More power to you Arizona!
Pray for our troops.
What do you think?
God bless America
