What Difference Would It Make?

Everybody with enough gray matter to get out of bed in the morning knows that the Obama Administration is going to raise taxes, and they are going to hit everybody, even the 90% or so of the population that Obama said would have their taxes cut when he took office.

Income taxes are going to go up, and you can bet your bottom dollar they will go up on a lot bigger group than those who make north of $250,000 a year, which had been another Obama promise, not to raise taxes on those earning below that figure.

But the one that is going to hit everybody square in the teeth will be the VAT (value added tax), which will be applied to just about everything you purchase or produce.

The White House is denying having such a dastardly measure in mind, but you just wait and see, it's coming somewhere down the line, and sooner than later if the president maintains a Democrat majority in both houses of Congress after the fall elections.

Now I don't like the thought of paying higher taxes and am of the persuasion that the government should be put on a budget and not allowed to exceed it, and if they can't run the country's business on the budget they're allowed they should leave and let somebody who can be in charge.

But even as much as I hate the thought of higher taxes I would willingly do it if I knew the money would be used to eliminate the national debt.
But let me tell you folks, no matter how much more taxes the government collects, they will not use it to get us out of debt. They will spend it and still want more.

When the financial institutions paid back twenty billion dollars of their loans was it applied to the debt? No it was not. It was spent by a president and Congress that absolutely refuse to abide by any sense of fiscal responsibility at all.

When a value added tax is levied it will probably start out at a low figure, maybe just a few percent, but all it takes is an act of Congress to raise it to whatever they want it to be. It's fifteen percent in Canada now and more than that in Europe.

And this is in addition to income taxes, inheritance taxes, and all the other taxes the crooks and thieves on Capitol Hill make us pay.

I know there are a few good people left in Washington but the majority is held by a ruthless bunch of power hungry pirates who have highjacked the ship of state and are sailing it into financial oblivion.

The original Boston Tea Party was held over unfair taxes. No wonder the liberals are so afraid of the present day Tea Party.

Give 'em hell Tea Party!
