Soap Box Archives Open Note to the Prez Mr. President, you have put America through a lot in the year you have been in office. You have weakened the defenses of our nation, allowed your out of control Attorney General to endanger the lives of everybody in New York City by moving the trials of some of the most evil and dangerous people in the world from the safe confines of Guantanamo Bay to Manhattan. You have let your Director of Homeland Security belittle the War on Terror by calling it, and the scumbags we're fighting, by silly, limp-wristed, milksop names and acting as if we were issuing a parking ticket. You and your cohorts in the legislative branch have bribed senators and corrupted Congress beyond salvage. You have mortgaged America's financial future by burying the foreseeable generations in crushing debt, started out to unionize the world and a thousand other things too numerous to mention. Your arrogance is burden enough, but would you please spare us your juvenile petulance? You're supposed to be an adult, Mr. President, you're supposed to take responsibility for your own actions, and the time for blaming George W. Bush for everything that goes wrong in your life has long been over. I don't recall Ronald Reagan continually complaining about the mess he inherited from Jimmy Carter's Administration. He met the challenges, and dealt with them without resorting to continual finger pointing. So far, the people you endorsed and campaigned for have lost three elections in a row. The American people have overwhelmingly rejected your health care plan and members of your political party are running like the rats that they are. You've even lost your 60-seat filibuster proof Senate majority with the election of Scott Brown in Massachusetts, the most liberal state in the union. Well, welcome to the real world, Mr. President. You may as well get used to it, the veneer of your personality is wearing thin and can't carry your socialist programs any longer. So tuck your bottom lip back in and stop acting like a sixth grader who didn't get invited to the party. How do you think it make Americans feel to see their President pout? How does it make us feel when you tell us that you can't do anything about the mess you inherited a year ago? You owe us, Mr. President. You were elected to forget about your feelings and focus in on the country's problems Not yours. You've got three years left, and I can only hope and pray that America can survive them. What do you think? Pray for our troops, and for our country. God Bless America Charlie Daniels
