Soap Box Archives Another Huge Blunder I wonder just how much America is going to take from the Obama Administration without rebelling. His presidency is less than a year old and he has managed to put America's financial future in danger of imploding with inflation and debt, he has apologized around the world for America's greatness, he is threatening to destroy the greatest health care system the world has ever known and now he is about to destroy the intelligence services. Eric Holder is not fit to be the Attorney General of the United States. He was instrumental in getting Mark Rich a pardon from Bill Clinton and he got a bunch of bomb making FALN terrorists off the hook. Does this sound like the man who is charged with prosecuting people who plot to destroy this nation? Now he has taken it upon himself to investigate the CIA agents who handled the interrogation of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind behind 9/11, after it has been proven by CIA documents that the interrogations gave us information that helped keep America safe from terrorist attack for almost eight years now. Personally, I think what Holder is doing will backfire in a big way on the Obama Administration. I think they are so out of touch with the American public that they think we will applaud their attempt to criminalize the very people who should be getting medals for what they did. I really don't think there's over a handful of people in this nation who really give a dern what they did to a monster who was responsible for murdering over three thousand American citizens. America needs to realize that this is nothing more than another Obama ploy to take the public's attention off the health care catastrophe he is trying to get passed. If your house was surrounded by burglars, would you let somebody come in and turn your burglar alarm off? I don't think so, and what Obama is doing is tantamount to turning off the burglar alarm in America. By disheartening and demoralizing the premier intelligence agency in America, he increases the danger in this country exponentially, and on top of that, if and when a terrorist attack comes, he is not going to be able to deal with it. A 9/11-type terrorist attack on this country would throw Obama and his novice administration into a tailspin and they would be so handcuffed by the dismantling of our anti-terror infrastructure that there is no telling what would happen or how far it would go. And these are the same people who want to take legal guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens. The only answer Obama and his cohorts can come up with is, "You know, I inherited these problems." Well Mr. Obama you may have inherited some of them, but you have certainly exacerbated and exploited them to pass programs that have never worked and will never work and now you're messing with the security apparatus that protects this country. And not only has he done this he has now pulled questioning of terrorist detainees away from the CIA and created one of those special panels he loves so well to be overseen by the White House. It's called the High-value Detainee Interrogation Group, or HIG. Sounds like the White House is closing in on something politically correct enough to replace "enemy combatants". This is another bald-faced power grab. It's called dictatorship folks, when one man holds absolute power over all the people and we are headed down that track ninety miles an hour. You think it can't happen in this country, well tell me where in the constitution it says anything about czars appointed by the President who take precedent over Congress. Show me in the constitution where the government has the power to make you buy anything, health insurance included. Apparently the constitution means little to this administration, and with a democratic majority in both houses of Congress they can do just about anything they want to us. That is until 2010, when I'm hoping America will have had enough of this insanity to clean house. I know I've got my broom ready. What do you think?
