Soap Box Archives Muscle A very dangerous thing is happening in the supposed land of the free and that is free speech is being threatened. Not by law or caveat but by thugs sent to town hall meetings who stand in the door and keep the people the Democrats don't want in these meetings out, therefore rigging the outcome. I don't know if you remember it or not but I'll never forget it. The sight of two Black Panther Party members holding night sticks standing in front of a polling place during the Presidential Election. Is this the change Obama was talking about, that if he couldn't get the American public to behave the way he wanted them to, unions and radical groups would be allowed to enforce his will. I'm by no means accusing Obama of sending these huge union guys to stand in the door of the town hall meetings nor am I accusing him of sending Black Panthers to polling places, but what I do know is that Obama's Attorney General refused to prosecute the Black Panthers and I have heard no word from anybody in the Obama Administration condemning the union enforcers. People this reeks of the fascist methods of Adolph Hitler and the socialistic takeover of the Soviet Union, increment by increment, intimidation-by-intimidation, issue-by-issue, dollar-by-dollar, until finally America is under the thumb of one political party that can't be put out of office. Obama's not condemning this kind of thing is a disgrace, well at least another disgrace added to all the others, and is totally unacceptable in the United States of America. Americans have the constitutionally guaranteed right to unfettered access to polling places and public political meetings and anything else is treason on the part of the people who hinder it up to and including the President of The United States. People should have access to their elected officials even if it takes a bulldozer to get through the door, and by the size of some of the thugs I saw on TV it just may take a bulldozer to get through them. They flat out controlled access to the door of the meeting and even roughed up a TV cameraman in the process. It's hard to believe that a congressman or senator would allow such treatment of their constituents and such treatment should be remembered when election time comes next year. Anybody who fears public opinion enough to use strong-arm tactics to control it is not worthy of serving in public office. People for those of you who haven't accepted the fact that President Obama is drowning in his responsibility please lend me your ear for one minute, and please don't start counteracting what I'm going to say by bringing up things done by the Bush Administration, that is ancient history. That was then, this is now. Neither George W. Bush nor the Republican Party are in power and it's time for Obama and the democrats to stop whining about what they "inherited" and shoulder the responsibility they told us they could handle when they were elected. The things I say are not the ravings of some right-wing zealot who just wants to bring down the Obama Administration, but the thoughtful statements of a 72-year-old American patriot who has lived through the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the second world war, observed the horrors and totally devastating results of communism, the always failed experiments of socialism and saddest of all, a president informing the planet earth that America is no longer a Christian nation. I love this country with all my heart and have been around it long enough to read the danger signs that are so prevalent on America's horizon. 1. We have a president who is a socialist, who befriended domestic terrorists, who has been steeped in socialist dogma, and whose political experience is limited to two years in the Senate and a somewhat oblique career as a community organizer. 2. He refuses to release his college records and just about anything else that would give the American public a view behind the curtain he has drawn around himself. 3. He has surrounded himself, for the most part, with people whose experience is as limited as his and God help this nation if and when a major terrorist attack comes. 4. In my opinion Obama is going to find a way to lose both the War In Iraq and the War In Afghanistan. All the lives we've lost and all the money we've spent is going to be for naught. I don't mean he'll do it intentionally, but his inexperience coupled with the fact that he just doesn't have the stomach for it is a dangerous combination. 5. The American economy is headed down the drain and the treasury department can't print worthless currency fast enough to stay ahead of Nancy Pelosi and crew. How can you respect the Congress when they, while knowing the dilemma America is in, try to sneak through a $550 million provision to buy new planes for Congress to fly around in? Ms. Pelosi, you're an arrogant airhead and a detriment to any political party cursed enough to have you as part of it, and you've got the nerve to criticize Sarah Palin. You couldn't carry Sarah Palin's hunting rifle case. What do you think? Pray for our troops, and for our country God Bless America Charlie Daniels
