Soap Box Archives And You Shall Know the Truth, But Not If the Democrats Have Anything To Do With It I don't know how much you know about Obama's health care bill, but I'll wager you don't know near as much as you need to know to make a decision about it's effect on you and your family. Have you wondered why President Obama, Pelosi and the Democrats are in such a hurry to get this monstrosity passed? Well, if you'll read on down this column you'll understand why. The reason is that they know once the American people find out what's in this socialistic piece of trash, there's no way they will let it pass. Pelosi and crew are no better than a bunch of crooks; in fact they're worse. Would you really like to know what this bunch of underhanded, backstabbing, unprincipled, just downright rotten and morally corrupt slobs are trying to pull on you without your even knowing it? Would you like to have the pants scared off you, would you like to get good and mad at what's going on in Washington? All you have to do is get online and go to Peter Fleckenstein's Twitter account. Mr. Fleckenstein has gone through the proposed health care bill and pulled out some information that should get our blood boiling hot enough to set up a gallows on Capitol Hill. I will leave it up to you to read this information in it's entirety for yourself but in this column I am just going to mention a few of the more offensive points this bunch of self-serving slobs are trying to push off on you. And remember, what I'm repeating is just the tip of the iceberg. The whole bill is over a thousand pages of things the Democrats don't want you to know about. Page 22 of this bill states that the government will audit the books of all employers who self-insure. Now what does that sound like? It sounds like intimidation to me. Page 24, line 116 says the government will in effect set prices for all private health plans. More government interference in the private sector, it's called fascism folks. Page 30 line 123 says there will be a government committee that decides what treatments and benefits you get. In other words instead of your medical professional deciding what treatment you need, some bureaucrat is going to decide. And page 37 line132 says the government will itself review all grievances. Sound like a fixed game? Believe me, it is. Page 29 line 4-16 your health care will be rationed. Page 50 line 152 says that health care will be provided to all non-U.S. citizens, illegal or not. Are there still some of you out there who think this plan won't completely bankrupt this nation? Page 59 line 21-24 says the government will have direct access to your bank accounts for electronic funds transfer. Say hello to Big Brother. Page 65 line 164 is a payoff subsidized plan for retirees and their families in unions and community organizations, and that means groups like ACORN. Can you say graft? Page 95 line 8-18 the government will use groups like AmeriCorps and ACORN to sign up individuals for government health care plans. I wonder if ACORN will do as good a job as they did registering voters. Page 110 line 19-24 the treasury can take money out of social security to pay health care. What money? I thought it was going broke. Page 126 line 10-15 the government can make up prices for anything at anytime for any reason. Page 145 line 15-17 an employer must enroll employees into public option plan, no choice. What ever happened to freedom of choice, isn't that a Democrat mantra? There are several provisions for taxing certain segments of the population basically redistribution of wealth. And if you're working for a living it's going to include you in some way. Page 202-215 is a government rewrite of the tax code for everybody, everywhere. Ain't it in a big enough mess already, and didn't yall write it the first time? Page 241 line 6-8 it makes no difference what a doctor specializes in; they will all be paid the same. In other words will a brain surgeon make the same as a podiatrist? People, this is just a few lines from a much larger report Mr. Fleckenstein has compiled. The information is there for you to review, for you to decide if that is the kind of health care you want and if you want to send the kind of sneaky, midnight hustlers we have in Washington, back for another term to sell us further down the river. Mark my words, this health care bill is the first step towards total government run, socialized single payer health care. Just as Barney Frank. Mr. Frank was asked recently about a single payer system, and he said that while he was all for it, Congress didn't have the votes to pass it, but that a good public option would be the best way to reach a single payer system in this country. Obama has also been a big proponent of single payer socialized medicine until recently. I'd wager that he has backed off for the same reasons as Barney Frank. I have always had a great respect for our legislative branch of government, but now with a very few exceptions I view them as charlatans who slip into the Capitol building at midnight and put porky, self-serving provisions in legislation, not willing to let we the people know what they're doing. They pass trillions of dollars of spending bills without even reading them, they bend over and hold their ankles for Obama, they lie, they call good evil and evil good, they go along with the crowd for political expediency and they can't be trusted to do anything but screw up America. It's hard for me to believe that these people could live with their consciences. I guess they've just burned them out and don't have one anymore.
