Israel's Conundrum

The recent vote in Iran hasn't changed a thing. Despite which candidate emerges from the disputed elections, the same rumpled little man with the scraggly beard and the vile hatred for Israel is still in power. Of course it would have made infinitesimally little difference who was elected, as the president is just a figurehead, a puppet controlled by the real power, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the Mullahs. In fact, all the candidates running had the Mullah stamp of approval before the election even started.

So the man who has let the world know that he is dedicated to the total destruction of Israel still sits in the president's chair, representing the views of the religious hierarchy who are his real bosses, so evidently they feel the same about Israel as Ahmadiinejad does which puts the Jews in a damned if they do, damned if they don't situation.

The result is a lethal conundrum, it all comes down to who bombs who first.

Iran has for the most part already stated their intent and purposes, they want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth and Israel has said they will not let this happen which would mean a pre emptive strike against Iran's nuclear development facilities and either way it goes has the potential to plunge the Middle East and therefore the world into chaos.

President Obama is trying to stay above the fray, taking neither side and making an effort to find a diplomatic way out of this tight corner, but the sad truth is that there can be no neutral positions. America is the only friend Israel has and if we are not for her we are against her.

The odd thing is that the world community seems perfectly content to set back and watch Iran develop their weapon of mass destruction which upon completion they will surely deploy against the Israelis, but when it comes to Israel protecting itself by dropping the first bomb there is nothing but condemnation.

If Iran bombs Israel first it will be nuclear with all the ramifications of nuclear fission and unknowable damage, with the potential of doing what Ahmadiinejad wants to do and wipe Israel off the face of the Earth.

Israel is a small country -roughly the size of Massachusetts- and depending on prevailing winds there's no telling where the radiation will go.

If Israel should drop the first bomb on Iran, in my opinion it would be a massive, but conventional explosive device and the damage it caused would be contained in the immediate area.

If this happens the Islamic nations of the Middle East would probably explode and along with their sympathetic oil addicted allies immediately isolate Israel and there would be a battle to the death.

Where America would stand in that day is impossible to tell at this juncture. There was a day when we would have stood by Israel tooth and nail but our new President is wishy-washy on the issue to say the least.

I have it on infallible authority that a major conflict will take place in Israel involving the Arab countries and a lot of other nations we don't usually think of as enemies of the Jews.

Of course most of you readers know that I'm referring to the Holy Bible, and for you who don't could I recommend that you take a modern translation of the Bible and read Ezekiel, Chapters 38 and 39, if you want to know the outcome.

I want to publicly state that I believe that Israel has the right to protect themselves from Iran or any other nation who questions and threatens their right to exist.

And remember this, there will be many attempts by many well intentioned people to bring peace to the Middle East, but their efforts will be fruitless, there will be no peace in the Middle East until that great and awesome day of the Lord.

Shalom.

What do you think?

Pray for our troops, our country and for Israel.

God Bless America
