Soap Box Archives Over the River, and Under the Bus I hope I'm wrong, I pray I'm wrong and if I am in a few years I will gladly admit it, but I can't seem to get over the feeling that President Obama is getting ready to throw Israel to the wolves. I have had this feeling ever since Obama's election and I have seen absolutely nothing of substance that could in any way refute the feeling. Obama has a very hard lesson to learn in that you simply cannot negotiate with people like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of Iran. He thinks he's on some kind of mission from Allah to bring about the arrival of the Islamic messiah, the Mahdi, who will supposedly come to Earth when the world is in total chaos. When Iran develops their weapons of mass destruction, which they will do sometime in the next few years unless their efforts are interrupted, the first thing they will do is release them on Israel. In fact, this week they are inching even closer to having operational WMDs by testing a medium range missile fully capable of hitting Israel, or U.S. military bases in the Middle East, and adding a nuclear warhead will only be a few years away. Of course if this happens, we all know that Israel would release their own nuclear weapons and completely destroy Iran in a matter of minutes. What would happen then is anybody's guess, but mine is that it could well bring on the events spoken about in Ezekiel 38 and 39 when almost the whole world will make war on Israel and if you've read these chapters, you know that God says that in His anger He will fight for Israel and kill all but one sixth of the huge invading force. The prophecy speaks of the Islamic nations being part of the alliance that comes against Israel, but also of Russia and many people interpret it to include some of the European nations, but mention of the United States of America is not to be found in the prophecy. Will America stand with Israel, or will we abandon them in their hour of need? And what is so important about whether we do or whether we do not stand with Israel? That's easy, and answered by a simple verse of scripture in the Old Testament. God told Abraham, the father of the Jewish nation, that He would make a mighty nation of his seed, that they would be like the sands on the shore and the stars in the skies, but here's the words we should concern ourselves with, God said, "He who blesses you I will bless and he who curses you I will curse," and there it is in plain and understandable language. Which category will America fall into? So far America has been a decent sort of friend to Israel, although some presidents have been better about it than others. President Obama is going to address the Islamic world in a few weeks. I don't know what he will say, but you can bet that in the Islamic world -among people who don't speak or understand English- it will be presented as an act of acquiescence and weakness, making Obama appear to be making concessions to the Muslim states. Of course this move will be heralded as the greatest act of diplomacy of the twenty first century by the sycophants in the American media, but the Islamic world could very well perceive it to be a further demonstration of weakness by a President who has already bowed to a Saudi king and gone around the world blaming the lion's share of the planet's troubles on the country he's supposed to be leading. So will Obama bless Israel by standing with her in her time of need or will he curse her by turning his back on her when her enemies attack her and in doing so sign America's death warrant? This is serious stuff, folks. The world is winding down to the last days of history; things are happening fast and will happen even faster in the future. Time will come; in fact it's already here, when you will have to make a decision. Will you go along with the crowd or will you stand up for what you believe in. It's your choice and your eternity. Note to cherry pickers, if you don't like the Bible verses I quoted, don't take it up with me, take it up with God, He's the one who said it. What do you think? Pray for our troops, and our country God Bless America Charlie Daniels
