Slithering Semantics

"Surely you will not die", said the Devil as he was trying to convince Eve to take a bite out of the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden.

As near as I know, that was the first recorded lie and the being that told it is still telling them today, except that now he has many allies and employs many tools. The mainstream media is always ready to lend a hand as they selectively report the news they want you to know and leave out the rest.

I could tell you things that I heard in Iraq about Saddam Hussein and his evil sons that would make a chill run up your spine, things that should have been reported, but of course the mainstream media wouldn't dream of going against their liberal editorial policy, even to further dirty a despicable devil like Saddam Hussein.

I guess they're afraid that it may make the American forces look as if they're doing something good and the major newspapers and the networks are just not going to let that happen.

Another powerful ally of the Devil's are semantics.

What used to be called abortion clinics are now called by such innocent sounding names as Planned Parenthood, and abortion being too harsh a word, they now use "a woman's right to choose".

But no matter how they soften up the terminology to convince young women that all they're destroying is a blob of soulless flesh, what is happening here is nothing less than murder, pure and simple.

A note to you cherry pickers, you can throw all the fancy terms at me you want to, all the eminent doctor's opinions, all the philosophical hogwash you people use to ease your conscience and it will not change the bottom line by one drop of innocent blood.

The truth is that without conception there would be no fetus, so when does life begin? It begins at conception, and I will believe it, write it, shout it and support it until the day I die.

I refuse to have the blood of millions of innocent unborn babies on my hands by staying silent.

Are you wiser than God who said that He knew us in our mother's womb and knit the pieces together before we were born? Some people seem to think so.

If you are so confident that abortion is not murder why won't one of the networks show an abortionist abort a full term baby as he reaches in with a pair of forceps and pulls off an arm or a leg or a head, or pumps a strong saline solution into the womb and literally burns the baby to death?

Either way, the baby dies in agony. Yes, they are capable of feeling pain.

It is my fervent hope that some young lady who is considering an abortion will read this column and if that's you, let me say a word to you.

No matter what the pro-abortion crowd tells you, if you allow them to perform an abortion you will be guilty of helping destroy innocent life, a being created by Almighty God.

You'll be destroying something that can't be replaced because God never made two human beings exactly alike. You could be taking the life of the person who would find the cure for cancer, or a great statesman, or a preacher of the gospel who could help lead a lost world to Jesus.

And the sad part is that you'll never know.

There are alternatives to abortion. There are literally millions of people who can't have children who would love to have a baby. Adoption is an honorable option.

Don't fall prey to the myth that you're only destroying a blob of flesh, what you'd be destroying is a baby; there's no truth other than that.

If you don't believe what I'm telling you, ask the abortionist to let you come in and watch him, or her, perform an abortion. In fact ask to watch a late term abortion.

Or go to a hospital and walk by the nursery window and look at the tiny innocent faces, the precious little human beings who were all at one time a blob of flesh.

Pray for our troops.
