America's
Next President
I don't know who will be America's next president but I
do know they will be coming to power at one of the most dangerous and crucial
times in American history.
When I think about the left wing baggage some
of the Democrat candidates would carry into office it seriously worries me. The
last two Democrat administrations seriously depleted the military, even to the
point that we couldn't even get a helicopter in the air to attempt a rescue of
the Iranian hostages.
Ronald Reagan and George Bush the Elder built the
military and intelligence agencies back up to the point that the Berlin Wall came
down and we later chased Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait.
Bill Clinton then
again depleted the military and intelligence services and George W. Bush again
painstakingly built them up.
Having nothing but past history and the congressional
Democrats disdain for the military and the fact that they are beholden to a bunch
of short sighted left wing kooks I can't imagine them doing anything but depleting
it once
again.
If this happens it will be one of the most foolhardy
moves these people have made in their long history of foolhardy moves.
The
world has changed in the last ten years. We are faced in 360 degrees by fanatical
Islamic terrorists who want to kill us, we have been deserted by most of the people
who were supposed to be our allies, Russia is again
rattling their sabers and
they have been developing a close relationship with communist China.
If
we ever needed a strong and well equipped military it will be in the days to come.
The world has never been more dangerous. We have never faced an enemy who
has been promised paradise complete with scores of virgins if they just strap
on some explosives and blow up a bunch of innocent people.
We have learned
a lot in the last few years and to shove aside these lessons in the name of political
expediency would be nothing less than foolhardy.
Nobody loves their personal
freedom more than I do but if it takes wiretaps to protect America so be it. If
we need to maintain a military prison for terrorists in Guantanamo, out of the
reach of Ninth Circuit type judges and headline seeking lawyers that's alright
with me.
If we need to spend massive amounts of money on building and
maintaining the most technologically advanced and best armed military force in
the world I'm willing to pay my share.
There is a myth which has been
expanded and proliferated by those on the left that our intelligence services
are a bunch of dumb, bumbling fools who can't find their posterior with both hands.
While they have had their problems in the past that is a far cry from the
truth. They've had to play catch up, but they're getting the job done.
Thanks
to George W. and some of the sensible members of Congress our military is the
finest in the world, bar none.
We cannot afford to let our intelligence
and military get broken again, because folks the way things are we just won't
have time to fix it again before the sky falls in.
Pray for our troops.
What do you think?
God Bless America
