Leaving my footprints in the grass on a frosty morning
The smell of honeysuckle and magnolias in full bloom
The far away sound of a train whistle blowing
Fried catfish and hushpuppies
Little white churches with steeples that set beside a two-lane country road
The sound of a heavy rain on a tin roof
A good eight-second bull ride
Playful puppies
Calves rollicking around in the pasture
A distant whippoorwill
A clear starry sky on a cold winter night
Big fluffy snowflakes
The plink of a long put falling in the hole
The smell of fresh cut grass
The nicker of a yearling colt
Thunderstorms
The smell of new mown hay
Gentle horses
Vidalia onions
Homegrown tomatoes
Pocket knives
Cowboy hats
High cantled saddles
Chewing gum
A cold winter night when you can see so many stars
Campfires
Snowmobiling
Southern fried chicken
Hominy grits
People who keep their word
Football games
The smell of sagebrush freshly stomped out by horses hooves
Spinning reels and fly rods
Target practice
The smell of fresh coffee brewing
Gentle breeze whispering through long leaf pines
Steam engines
Throwing houlihans
A clean double hock heel catch
Old blues pickers
Acres of brilliant hardwood trees in their fall splendor
Shooting sporting clays with a browning sweet sixteen
Sweet ice tea
Old soldiers
Rocking chairs, front porch swings
Walking through the woods when there¹s a little nip in the air
Crossing the Mississippi River at Memphis
Rainbows
Watching a red tail hawk wheel around in the sky
Little kids faces on Christmas morning
