Petulance

It's hard to believe that a person can get as far in life as becoming a U.S. Senator and not understand the rules of the American free market but some of the most powerful politicians in the country are ranting and raving about
the power of talk radio and some of them to the point that they want to put restrictions on some of the conservative talk show hosts because of the influence they have on the American public.

In my opinion their pathetic whining and childish petulance just goes to show just how out of touch they are with the people they are supposed to be representing.

When the American public stood up and rejected their ridiculous immigration bill they blamed it not on the bill they were trying to pass but on conservative talk radio hosts who had the actual nerve to inform the public about what the immigration bill contained, provisions they tried to hide from us.

They just can't seem to grasp the fact that we just don't trust them and the reason is not talk radio but the indisputable fact that they give us little reason to.

They refuse to enforce the laws they already have in place so why should we believe they would enforce new ones? But the overriding reason the citizens reacted so negatively is because the bill is horribly flawed and would have done damage to the nation.

The only thing talk radio did was inform the public of just how badly flawed it was, something the Senate seemed determined to keep from us.

Nobody can make people listen to radio programs they don't like. They all have an off switch on their radios and they can choose to listen to whomever they want to.

It's not a case of not having any liberal talk radio to listen to, it's just that they choose not to listen to it and if people choose to listen to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity instead of Al Franken and Janeane Garofalo that's a free market decision and it's as American as The Constitution.

After all, aren't you the folks who believe in freedom of choice?

Maybe the insulted Senators should move to Venezuela where Dictator Hugo Chavez just takes the people who don't agree with him off the air.

The fact of the matter is that it¹s not Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh or talk radio which killed their legislation. It was the will of the American people. They don't want the bill and let the Senators know about it. If they had been in favor of the bill there is nothing Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh could have done about it passing.

Do you ever stop and think Mr. and Ms. Senator that there's nothing wrong with talk radio but there's something wrong with you, that perhaps you¹re just so out of sync with America that you don't know or respect the will of
we the people.

The American public are not your herd of sheep even though you want to treat them as if they were.

Maybe it's time for you to stop your whining and just go home.

Pray for our troops

What do you think?

God Bless America
