Misinformation
The Internet is a wonderful thing for gathering information.
However it is
also the leading source of obtaining and spreading false information.
It seems that some people just won't admit the truth about what
has happened in Iraq and I would like to straighten out at least
a couple of misleading bits.
First
of all, in so far as Saddam and weapons of mass destruction,
how did
he kill so many Kurds with poison gas, a weapon of mass destruction
that
people say he didn't have? Do you think he just snapped his
fingers and the Kurds fell over dead?
Do you think that the weapons of mass destruction he murdered
the Kurds with were the only ones he had? Did he just say, Make
me just enough to kill some Kurds with. I don't think so.
So where are the rest of them? They, along with no telling what
else, could still be in Iraq. It's a big country with a lot
of sand to hide things in.
Or, they could well be in Syria being held in reserve by Nancy
Pelosi's
buddy Assad.
Secondly, we are not fighting Iraqis in Iraq for the most part
and haven't
since we defeated the Iraqi military. They are terrorists from
other
countries for the most part. They are Syrians, Saudis, Palestinians
and a
sordid plethora of Middle Easterners and Southwest Asians who
have made Iraq the international battleground for Islamic supremacy.
They are funded and sponsored by Al Qaida, Syria, Iran and through
the back door by Saudi
Arabia.
These are the people who are stirring the pot in Iraq. There
is a lot at
stake here. If America pulls out Al Qaida will basically have
their own
country, a base of operations to train and organize their suicide
bombers
and develop their weapons without interference.
The insurgents don't care who they kill and they don't care
where they kill
them. But if they had their way it would be on the streets of
New York City
and Washington, D.C.
Now Reid, Pelosi and company may well win this battle. They
have
almost all of the national media on their side but the legislation
they are
proposing is ridiculously dangerous to the American troops and
will leave
the Iraqi people right back at square one facing nothing but
desperation and
cruelty.
I know it sounds idealistically wonderful and noble to use terms
like,
Bring the troops home now. But the ramifications of doing so
will be
catastrophic in the long run.
Al Qaida will be free to dedicate their total energies on the
destruction of
the western world.
Nobody loves the troops more than me or wants to see them come
home more than I do. But bringing them home before we get the
job done only guarantees that they'll be deployed again in an
even more dangerous situation, very possible right here on the
streets of America.
It is a sorry state of affairs when the congressional leadership
of this
nation can't see past their own greedy political ambitions and
in the naive
process puts the United States of America in a danger they can't
even
imagine.
Pray for our troops.
What do you think?
God Bless America
