Global
Gobbledygook
I didn't watch it but from what I gather the Academy Awards
this year was a televised love fest between the Hollywood elite
and Al Gore proclaiming that global warming is at the door and
that if we don't stop driving big cars the ice cap is going
to melt and the whole world is going to disappear in a
cloud of noxious fumes.
Does the term The blind leading the blind occur to anybody besides
me? Or
perhaps the word hypocrite?
Did anybody happen to check out the front of the auditorium
to see how many gas guzzling, high carbon emitting limos were
parked outside?
Did anybody do a poll to find out how many of these people own
private jets or frequently fly around on them?
Did anybody follow them home to find out the size of the houses
they own in Malibu and Beverly Hills and check the electric
meter to see how much
electricity they use?
Let me tell you something that I believe very deeply. The global
warming movement is motivated for the most part by politics,
not ecology.
Do you think that Al Gore and Barbara Streisand are going to
move into a
grass shack, use candles for light, take a Greyhound bus from
LA to New York or ride bicycles to the studio? Don't hold your
breath.
What these people want is so simple to see. They want you to
change your
lifestyle but they have no intention to change theirs, carbon
credits be
damned.
People, don't let Oem scare you.
They show you scientific studies showing that the icebergs are
shrinking,
but they don't dare give you the fact that others are increasing.
They use
selective science to try to convince you that we are traveling
a doomed
path. There is plenty of science that refutes their claims but
they're not
about to say anything about it.
If you don't believe me just hop on the web and look up what
they were
saying back in the seventies, except then they couldn't decide
whether it
was going to be global warming or another Ice Age.
This is a ploy to get the U.S.A. to sign the Kyoto accords,
taking a giant
step toward globalism and doing tremendous damage to our economy
Well let me say something to Mr. Gore and his ilk. Go to China,
Korea and
the rest of the Orient. The pollution in these countries looks
like clouds
on the ground and I haven't heard Mr. Gore say a word about
cleaning up
their act. Or anybody else's for that matter.
No it's just America who messes up the planet.
Don't be deceived by this people and don't get me wrong. I think
there's a
lot we can do to make the world a better place, but in my opinion,
we have
much more to fear from a dirty nuclear terrorist bomb than anything
that
comes out of the tailpipe of my big ol' SUV.
Pray for our troops.
What do you think?
God Bless America
