Crossroads Part Seven
Media Bias

There are people in this country who will look you in the eye and tell you
that there is no media bias in America, that the three major networks and
large market newspapers present balanced coverage of the news, leaning
neither left nor right and not reflecting their political and social
opinions in their presentation.

For anyone who truly believes that I would say that you have a serious
equilibrium problem and probably can't tell your left from your right.

News coverage in this country is extremely tilted to the left. It is
seriously anti-Christian branding anyone who disagrees with their liberal,
socialist agenda as being a right wing evangelical Christian nutcase.

They don't cover the war in Iraq, they try to control it. Check your
Internet and see how many Abu Ghriab stories were on the front page of the New York Times. They try to paint the military as being out of control
perverts or in the infamous words of Captain John Kerry, rapers and
pillagers in the tradition of Genghis Khan.

It seems that our major media outlets simply don't really care about
America, at least in its present form. They want to turn this nation into a
totally secular, immoral, gray area where there are no absolutes, where it's
perfectly legal to murder unborn children at any stage and marry an aardvark if you want to.

If you really want to know about media bias ask a soldier who has served in
Iraq about CNN. They follow our guys around looking for nothing but
negativity. Any little mistake that can be magnified and reported to the
American public as something bad the military has done.

If you don't believe there is media bias just start listening to the voice
inflections of the anchor people and read between the lines of newspaper
articles.

The media seldom if ever take the side of a policeman. They rush to judgment and cast suspicion on law enforcement never stopping to wonder what they would do if they were faced with a situation when a split second's hesitation could result in their deaths.

I totally believe in Freedom of the Press but I also believe in responsibility of the press.

Unfortunately most people in this country draw their conclusions from the
pages of their newspapers and the sound bites they see on the evening news.

There are two sides to every story and it's such a dangerous shame that only one side is being told.

Pray for our troops.

What do you think?

God Bless America
