Chaves

I don't know how much you know about a character named Hugo Chaves, but you may as well learn his name and get ready for trouble from his part of the world.

He's the one who stood in the podium at the United Nations and called
President Bush the devil. Now I know there are a lot of people who don't
like Bush, but for a half-baked politician who fancies himself the reembodiment of Simon Bolivar and has revolutionary aspirations to come into our own nation and insult anybody here, much less the President, is way beyond the pale.

But that is not what makes him dangerous. He has recently purchased billions of dollars worth of rifles, planes and assault helicopters from Russia,
spent time with Fidel Castro and the president of Iran and harbors
terrorists and threatens anybody who has the timidity to oppose him
politically.

Now tell me, what reason does Venezuela have for all these weapons? Who is threatening them? The answer is absolutely nobody. These weapons are not being purchased for defense, they are being purchased for offense and our President, House of Representatives and our somnambulant Senate would be well advised to pay attention to this belligerent little guy.

I guess since getting a hug from Cindy Sheehan and Danny Glover Mr. Chaves thinks that all Americans feel the same way they do. He's got a rude awakening.

When it all boils down, Hugo Chaves in nothing more than another tinhorn
dictator who is draining off the resources of a poor nation to satisfy his
own selfish and foolish military aspirations.

The economy in Venezuela, which should be good because of their vast oil and aluminum reserves, is terrible. The people are suffering and Chaves will
eventually lead that country down the path of ruin, whether it is militarily
or fiscally.

I believe that his ultimate goal is to get his hands on a nuclear weapon and
I believe that he is supplying uranium to Iran, in hopes to share in their nuclear arms program. Now you know we cannot let that happen.

That Hugo Chaves is a dangerous, loose cannon is an understatement, but in actuality he is just a weak, strutting little bantam rooster, who wants to
play with the big boys on the world stage but is not smart enough or
powerful enough to do it.

I¹ve heard from reliable sources that Chaves can¹t make it if oil stays
below sixty dollars a barrel. It's time to dot the plains of the grain
producing states with ethanol plants and let this little firebrand dictator and the rest of those who hate us drown in their own oil.

Pray for our troops.
