Real Homeland Security 09/25/06

Now that it is common knowledge that there are terrorist cells in our own
country ain't you glad we didn't let the powers that be take away our guns?

In fact, if you don't have a good supply of ammunition I would advise you to go out and get more and if you don't own a gun I would advise every
household to at least have one shotgun on the premises with several boxes of heavy duty buck shot. In fact, a good old scattergun is probably the best
thing for close quarters defense.

Now before some of you, and we all know who, get your lingerie in a knot and start firing off hostile emails accusing me of being everything from an
alarmist to a fascist, let me make a few points.

We are told that the terrorists have bored into our society and established
sleeper cells in our midst, that they are waiting for a signal to attack
that could be forthcoming at any time.

Well what are you going to do if the guy down the street comes out in his
front yard with an AK 47 and starts peppering the neighborhood? As you
should know by now, these people care nothing for the kind of people they
kill. They would just as soon attack a kindergarten or elementary school as
anything else.

But anyway what would you do? Well the first thing you'd do is call the
police, which is the exactly the right thing to do.

But what if there are so many attacks going on around your city that the
police are stretched so thin they can't come to your community and the guy
with the AK 47 is coming down the street toward your house emptying clip
after clip into the homes of your neighbors.

At this point you've got two choices. You can curl up in the corner with
your family and prepare to die or you can reach in the closet and pull out
something to even the odds, take careful aim and put one right between the scumbag's eyes.

Or just forget the terrorist angle for a minute. We have all heard the
horrendous stories about home invasion. If somebody breaks into your house in the middle of the night you want to be holding something in your hand besides the bedspread.

A double-barreled twelve gauge shot gun comes to mind. Just point and punch. You may take out a door or a piece of the wall too but you can bet the lowlife won't be raping your daughter or anybody else's daughter, ever.

And no I don't take shooting somebody lightly. Human life is sacred. I have
never even come close to shooting anybody in my life and I pray that I never will.

But when a terrorist opens up on a crowd of innocent people or a home
invader breaks in or a punk walks into a convenience store with a gun in
their hand, in my book, they have just signed their own death warrant.

I am not advising people to buy guns and carry them around on their
person. However if you want to get a carry permit and do so that's alright
too. But a man has a right to protect his family and property and sometimes that takes drastic measures, up to and including firearms.

That's real homeland security.
