Soap Box Archives Matter Over Mind 07/28/06 I don’t expect all of you to agree with me all the time and respect your opinions. Secondly, I can tell by perusing the mail in this forum that there are some people out there who either don’t want to admit the truth or they just don’t get it at all. When you look at the wars going on this planet, who is fighting them? Radical Muslims. We have radical Muslims fighting Americans. Radical Muslims fighting Israel. Radical Muslims fighting in Afghanistan, in Africa, in Indonesia and scores of other locations around the world. They are fighting anybody who has a different religious ideology than they do up to and including people of their own faith. I think this is enough to get through to even the dullest mind that the free world has a common enemy. Hezbollah, the shining path, Hamas, al Qaida, the names may be different but they are all part of the army of radical Islam and they are bent on destroying the free world and if the free world doesn’t wake up to who the enemy is and stop being so politically correct that they can’t put the blame where it belongs, they may go a long way toward accomplishing their goal. If you don’t think there’s a connection between all these terrorist groups and their goals you’ve got another thing or two coming. Al Qaida is in Iraq and just this morning they threatened to join Hezbollah in their war against Israel. And even after all this evidence some people want to stick their head in the sand and try to put the blame anywhere but where it belongs. The situation on global terrorism is just about to reach critical mass. Iran, unless interrupted, will have a nuclear bomb and a deliver system for it in a short time. North Korea will sell nuclear material to anybody who has the money to buy it. Pakistan has nuclear weapons, India has nuclear weapons. The Middle East and parts of Asia are like a powder keg just waiting for somebody to light the fuse and Iran just may be the one to do it and yet the world sits back and waits for this catastrophe to happen. In the meantime, for you who want to spread the blame around for what’s going on in the world, let me ask you a question. Who is sending their young men out to blow up innocent people with promises of a paradise full of dark eyed virgins? Who blew up
The Pentagon and The World Trade Center, who slaughtered innocent people
on trains in India, Spain and England? Who blew up the U.S.S. Cole and
two of our embassies in Now be honest with yourselves, America. Who do really think is more likely to attack our country? Jews? Catholics? Evangelical Christians? Baptists? Hindus? Buddhists? If you’re not willing to answer that question truthfully, you are probably too far-gone to be reading my humble column.
