Crossroads Part Six

Political Correctness-America¹s Soft Underbelly

My biggest concern about America's well-being and safety is not a foreign
invader or even the maniacal hordes of Islamic radicals who seek every to destroy us totally and completely.

It is the enemies within, political correctness and the naivete it fosters,
unthinking politicians and activist judges who think the war on terror can
be solved politically, that if we¹d just be nice to the terrorists, they'd
be nice to us and leave us alone.

For those who think it all started on 9-11 let me refresh your memory. Do
you remember the bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon or the
Somalians dragging an American soldier through the streets of Mogadishu?

And what was done about them? Absolutely nothing, there is a parking lot
without so much as a memorial at the sight of the Marine Corps bombing and Bill Clinton just turned tail and ran in Somalia.

This is the politically correct way to handle things, don't muddy the water,
don't stir the pot. After all, these people probably have a good excuse for
murdering our service men and women. There is probably something that
America did to these people which caused them to act so violently.

Give the murdering scumbags in Guantanamo Bay defense attorneys to drag their cases through the courts for years, allow them to sue the US
Government and put more money in the already overstuffed pockets of the
greedy lawyers who would take their cases and demand that sensitive American intelligence be reviewed in open court.

That's the politically correct way to handle it.

Even though seventy-five percent of the terrorist acts in the world are
being carried out by Muslims, don't ever pull one out of line at an airport
just because he's Islamic, just let him go and hope he doesn't blow the
flight out of the air, that's the politically correct way to handle it.

Don't allow police departments to ask immigrants if they are illegals, just
let undocumented people roam the streets of America. That's the politically
correct thing to do.

Bring in the A.C.L.U. every time some Christian religious symbol is spotted
in a public place. It may actually offend three or four people, who could
simply look the other way, but the politically correct thing to do is go to
court and force the removal of the object.

This war with Islamic terrorists is not ever going away. We can realize that
or we can sit here in our naive self-righteousness and be slowly destroyed,
piece-by-piece, bombing by bombing, military withdrawal after military
withdrawal, illegal immigrant after illegal immigrant.

Political correctness is the soft underbelly of America and the Terrorists, illegal immigrants and others have learned how to use it against us to work the system.

We have yet to see what the turnaround in the Congress and Senate are going to mean. But I have a sinister feeling that we have turned the Legistrative Branch of our government over to shorted sighted, band-aid politicians who view symbolism as more important than substance, who live and die by the sound bite and the poll.

That notwithstanding these people were duly elected by the people of America and deserve their chance. I wish them the best but what I'm really hoping for is that they don't do something that can't be undone.

The definition of political correctness in the cowboy logic dictionary is
male bovine scatology.

Pray for our troops

What do you think?
