Crossroads
Part Three
Immigration
I have written articles on this subject before and have been
accused of not
wanting to share America with other races. This is simply not
true. We all came from somewhere else. Without immigrants there
would be no America.
But that not withstanding, we have had an immigration policy
in place for
many years, one by which people can apply for and receive citizenship
and
millions of people have gone through that process and gone on
to become
loyal and productive citizens.
It is totally unfair to our legal immigrant population who worked
hard and
waited years to become a citizen of this nation to allow it
to happen by
simply walking across an international border.
In the first place you enter this country as a criminal, by
the very act of
your entry you break our laws and become a fugitive from justice.
Our immigration laws have been put in place for a purpose. A
nation has a
right to refuse entry to anyone it chooses, for whatever reason.
We don't
want criminals, terrorists or other violent people in our country.
We have
enough here already.
We don't want people carrying communicable diseases coming into
our country, for obvious reasons.
We have a census here that keeps track of the population of
the nation and
when you circumvent that we don't know who you are, where you
are or what kind of diseases you may be carrying.
One of these days the balance will reach critical mass and there
will be
more illegal immigrants in this nation than it can sustain and
we will see
the chaos in our streets that France recently experienced because
of its
irresponsible immigration policies. Remember the burning cars?
You think that can't happen in the United States?
Well think again. One day there will be millions more illegal
than jobs and
what do you think hordes of unemployed, non English speaking,
angry,
frustrated illegals are going to do?
I will be honest. I really don't know what it will take to stem
the tide of
illegal immigration but I do know this.
The problem can be handled if rational powerful people would
sit down and
talk about the problem. Instead of trying to make political
hay with their
silly, stopgap, band-aid propositions, it could be dealt with.
If America is to remain the nation it is, something simply must
be done
about it.
Pray for our troops.
What do you think?
