Wasting Our Time

It seems that I've spent an awful lot of space in this column lately writing about the ridiculous state of our Congress.I have heard the name Foley so many times in the last couple of weeks that I'm sick of it.

He screwed up, he's out of Congress, identify the culprits who protected him, kick them out of Congress and let's get on with the business of America.

What really burns me up is that I don't recall hearing one Congressman or Senator stand up before his or her colleagues and say that something has got to be done to protect our school children.

Here we have innocent children dying at the hands of perverts and this do nothing bunch of opportunists are so busy trying to make each other look bad that it seems they haven't even noticed the horrible situation.

Losing a perverted Congressman is nothing but losing ten schoolgirls within a few days is a catastrophe. It just goes to show you where the interests of our elected officials lie.

And both parties are guilty. The Republicans are worried about losing the House and Senate, which is a distinct possibility but the Republicans blew it. They had control of both houses of congress and the White House and
accomplished very little.

And they have done the country a vast injustice. While they were twiddling their thumbs, playing politics and looking like a bunch of bunglers to the people of this country they were chasing the electorate in a dangerous
direction.

Now there is a good possibility that people are going to cast votes just to oppose the Republicans and likely elect some people who will take this country on a catastrophic trip

If the Democrats get in power, the first thing they are likely to do is take away the tax cuts and there goes the economy.

I know that a lot of people think that if the Democrats are elected they will bring the troops home from Iraq. That just ain't gonna happen. Not with Iran in the belligerent mood they're in. All it would take is some troop
movements to completely shut down the oil exports from that part of the world and the Democrats know it. So forget getting out of Iraq in the next few years regardless of who's in power.

We would probably get more business unfriendly environmental laws and if they are ever foolish enough to sign the Kyota accords you can watch for another mass exodus of heavy industry from this country.

To be truthful some of the Democrats I see on television scare me and to think about these people who are anti- business, anti-military and sometimes anti-American being in power is pretty unnerving.

Nancy Pelosi Speaker of the House?

Pray for our troops

What do you think?

God Bless America
