Soldiers 09/08/06

I just have to marvel at those who claim that Islamic terrorists
who have no uniform, no particular country and absolutely no honor deserve the protections of the Geneva Convention, which were meant to protect prisoners who were captured on a field of battle in a declared war between two or more nations. In other words, it was intended to protect a soldier.

Soldiers do not blow up plane loads and bus loads of innocent people.

Soldiers do not hide among the civilian population like a bunch of rats, nor
do they gleefully hack the heads off of prisoners and video tape it for all
the world to see.

Soldiers do not intentionally send gullible young men into a crowd of women
and children with explosives strapped to their bodies with promises of a
paradise full of erotic pleasures.

Soldiers do not run schools for the sole purpose of teaching
Innocent children to hate everybody who does not believe the same way they do, children who will later take up arms and become just as big a fanatic as the ones who taught them.

Soldiers fight to achieve peace, not genocide, to save the lives of the
innocent, not to destroy them.

Soldiers proudly wear the uniform and insignia of the country they are
fighting for and the trappings of the service they belong to.

Soldiers don't use women and children as human shields.

Terrorists defy every sentence of the Geneva Convention, so in the name of
good sense, can somebody tell me why they deserve to be treated under its
protections when they are captured?

They fight hiding behind skirts and cradles; they wear no uniforms and
indiscriminately kill anybody who stands in their way, even people of their
own race and faith. They torture and kill the prisoners who are unfortunate enough to fall into their grasp.

They are bent on destroying every Christian and Jew on earth and some people actually believe that they are entitled to a lawyer, a plush prison and all the rights of the people they are so determined to destroy.

Well I for one don't think they should be entitled to anything except humane treatment and a military tribunal. In fact I think it's high time to abandon any semblance of traditional wartime mores and fight this war on the enemy's terms.

And no I am not talking about the intentional killing of innocent civilians
or instituting suicide bombing. I'm talking about pursuing them in every way
possible. I'm talking about wire tapping, profiling, shooting first and
asking questions later.

Sound radical to you? Well it is. When you're fighting radicals you have to
be radical.

Pray for our troops

What do you think?

God Bless America
