World War Three 07/14/06

In these days of twenty-four hour news cycles we are constantly bombarded with bad news. Cyclones, earthquakes, murders, kidnapping, corruption in high places and wars and rumors of wars have become a part of our daily lives.

We are so inundated with bad news from around the world that I sometimes wonder if we are not desensitized by it, looking at it as just a picture on a screen rather than a catastrophic happening somewhere.

Be this as it may, I am absolutely amazed by the degree of naivety
in this nation and in the rest of the world. People either don’t realize or refuse to acknowledge the absolute fact that we are involved in the third world war.

A true world war where no nation on the face of this planet will go unscathed by the terror being unleashed by radical Islam, a war with no defined battlefields and no honor among enemies.

This war is different. The enemy uses the very things we cherish the most to destroy us. Our individual freedoms, our open society, our willingness to accept immigrants from all over the world.

We cannot win this war using the rules of engagement laid down by the A.C.L.U. and the New York Times. While the terrorists blow up innocent women and children and hack the heads off their prisoners, the A.C.L.U. and the Supreme Court say that we can’t even try our prisoners in military tribunals and all the terrorists have to do to find out what we’re doing is pick up a copy of the New York Times.

The only way we are going to win this war is to use the same playbook as the terrrorists. This is a down and dirty, winner take all proposition and no I’m not talking about sending suicide bombers or torturing prisoners.

I’m talking about granting our intelligence agencies whatever latitudes they require to obtain the information they need whether it be wiretaps or no knock search warrants.

I’m talking about calling a terrorist a terrorist whether they are firing mortar rounds across the wire in Baghdad or blowing up a bus in Televiv. We need to declare war on all terrorists whether they are Palestinian, Iranian, Saudi or the traitorous homegrown variety.

We need to do something about Iran’s nuclear capabilities before it is forever too late. Nobody in their right mind thinks they’re just interested in producing nuclear energy and nobody with a brain in their head doesn’t know what they’ll do with the bomb.

As far as the little guy with the funny hair in North Korea is concerned we should issue one warning. The first time any of those firecrackers you’re shooting off even looks as if it’s headed into anything but the Sea of Japan, we’re going to alleviate the parking problem in South Korea.

I pray the protection of the god of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob over there United States of America.

Pray for our troops.

What do you think?

God Bless America
