And Another One Bites The Dust 06/09/06

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was a wicked, evil, sadistic man who caused massive human suffering, and who like a deadly disease hung over an entire population of Iraq for years, performing some of the most inhuman acts ever known to mankind.

Cruelty was his tool and fear his stock in trade. The total of
horrible acts this monster did will never be known, but one thing is, he will never commit another one. He has become a good terrorist, a dead one.

I think that al-Zarqawi’s demise is good in more ways than one. First of all, there is one less terrorist on earth and secondly, I think that it signals a new spirit of trust by the Iraqi people.

Somebody informed on him which, if found out is tantamount to a death sentence on the person who informed and his family. But I think we will see more and more cooperation from the ordinary citizens of Iraq as this trust develops.

Our record for developing trust in Iraq is not too great. Just a few short years ago we went to war with Saddam but left without finishing the job, leaving him, his demonic sons and his unbelievably cruel regime in power to torture and kill Iraqis at will.

You couldn’t blame them for being afraid to trust us after that, but this time is different. Uday and Qusay are dead, Saddam is in jail and our armed forces just killed the number one terrorist in the country. So maybe they just may be starting to believe that America is going to help them form a democratic government and run the bad guys out of the country.

Of course, if they listen to the American media and the Murtha, Kennedy and crowd, they’d think we were getting ready to pull out any day now.

But it’s beginning to look as if we’re finally starting to get what we so desperately need to win this war. The confidence and cooperation of the Iraqi people. Only they can supply the intelligence we need to track down al Qaida. Only they can rise up and take over their country and protect it from within.

Of course the violence is not over, there will be roadside bombings and more attacks on innocent people and as long as the old gray bearded mullahs and fanatical leaders can keep convincing young men that there are seventy dark eyed virgins waiting for them just the other side of death’s door we will have more suicide bombings.

But if we can just find out where these monsters are hiding, we can keep taking them out until they all finally get the idea that
we mean business and that the policy and opinions of the United States of America are not reflected by the New York Times and that they can run but they can’t hide.

It was a fine day for the good guys.

Pray for our troops.

What do you think?

God Bless America
