Desecration 10/25/05

There was an incident recently concerning some soldiers in Afghanistan burning the bodies of some dead Taliban troops,
supposedly to taunt some other troops to come out and fight.

I refuse to judge these American troops on what they did, I am neither condoning it nor condemning it and neither should the American media.

Why? Because we weren’t there and we don’t know the circumstances under which this was carried out. Personally I believe that what happened had something to do with saving American lives and the fact that war is hell.

Besides, this is not the first time this has happened. It was not long ago that Islamic crazies not only burned the bodies of American service men but hung them from a bridge in full view of the public.

Not to mention the bloody beheading of an American captured on videotape and shown to the world at large. Now just how desecrating is that?

I wonder what would happen if, God forbid, terrorists were to come and blow up the New York Times building with everybody in it and when they started screaming at the military for not preventing it the military would reply, “Well we’re sorry folks but the people who destroyed your building are the same Taliban members we were trying to coax out when we burnt the bodies and we had to give it up because of media pressure.”

The point being that the terrorists we are fighting in Afghanistan, Iraq and other places are the same terrorists who would like nothing better than come to America and destroy this country piece by piece.

Do you think the terrorists who blow up buses in Televiv are any different from the Saudis who flew a plane into The Pentagon?

Do you think the insurgents our troops are killing in Iraq and Afghanistan are any different from the ones who killed so many people in Indonesia?

They come from all over the Middle East and Southwest Asia to blow them up for Islam. What makes you think that they would not come to the U.S.A?

We are way too quick to judge our military. It’s amazing just how fast the American media jumps on the terrorist’s side every chance they get. It’s not only amazing it’s disgusting.

They do an injustice to our men and women in uniform by being so quick to condemn them in situations they are not in a position to
evaluate.

I believe that if we could take the media and the partisan politics out of this war and let the military do their job it would be over with in a matter of months.

In my opinion there should be one standard in this war. The only good terrorist is a dead terrorist.

Pray for our troops.
