Profile of a Monster 10/22/05

On the ABC Evening News the other day I heard what I consider to be one of the silliest statements I’ve ever heard come out of a human being’s mouth.

It went something like this, “Saddam Hussein will go on trial tomorrow and already human rights groups are worried.”

In my opinion any human rights group that’s worried about Saddam’s human rights should go and have their collective heads examined.

First of all, I’m not even sure if Saddam Hussein is human, and even if he is he forfeited any human rights he may have had many years ago.

Does anybody besides Saddam and his lawyers really care what happens to him? This is a monster who tortured, raped and murdered his way through two and a half decades.

He lived in splendor while the people of his country lived in mud huts. He allowed his sons to rape young women and torture sports teams for not winning.

He did more environmental damage in one fell swoop than all the refineries in the world put together would produce in a year.

He tried to conquer the sovereign nation of Kuwait.

He corrupted the United Nations and used poison gas on his own people.

I’ll bet you if the truth be known that the people who are worried about this scumbag’s human rights wouldn’t raise their little finger to save the life of an innocent unborn child who has not done anything to anybody.

And you can bet that this trial is going to be a doozy. It’s a chance for a bunch of high priced lawyers to strut their stuff across the world stage.

How anybody can find it in their heart to defend this butcher is beyond me. How could a man get up in the morning, look in the mirror and know that the face he was looking at belonged to a man who was defending a person who would murder their family in their beds and not even think twice about it?

The charges against Saddam Hussein are massive and I don’t think there will be a lack of eyewitnesses to help prove him guilty.

All that he has done to the people of Iraq cannot possibly be brought up in a trial. The number of people he murdered with their hands behind their backs will probably never be accurately known. The amount of virgins who were brutally raped by his maniacal sons will never come to light.

In fact, no matter how long the trial lasts and no matter how much evidence is presented and testified to what we will see will only be the miniscule tip of a giant iceberg.

The sooner this trial is over and Saddam’s sentence is pronounced and executed the better off the world will be. But until then please spare me the hearts and flowers.
