Totally Ridiculous 12/05/05

Would somebody tell me why we have a holiday on December Twenty Fifth every year? Is it to celebrate Kwanza or cold weather or just naturally being happy at that time of the year? Should we have music like “Ode to a Bare Tree” or “Oh How Slushy is the Snow?” or “Deck the Halls with Colored Tofu”?

Nonsensical isn’t it? Well not as nonsensical as pretending that the 25th of December commemorates anything less than the birth of Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God and we commemorate it by using the word “Christmas” hence the phrase,” Merry Christmas.”

The Fourth of July is a holiday, New Year’s Day is a holiday, Martin Luther King’s birthday is a holiday, but the 25th of December is all about Jesus and no puny manmade organization like the A.C.L.U. is ever going to alter that fact. All the judges on planet earth can never change it.

It goes like:
“We felt that we may offend someone or leave someone out by singling out Christmas, we felt it was unfair to the other religions and in the name of diversity we felt that it would be in the interest of all concerned to celebrate a secular holiday, therefore sparing the atheists and all other religions the risk of being offended. And besides, what about the separation of church and state?”

Well I’ve got some news for you bunch of poor misguided knuckleheads. The people who founded this country and wrote the Constitution you are continually trying to abuse celebrated Christmas. That’s right C-h-r-i-s-t-m-a-s as in Christ.

Ok, I’ve got one for the A.C.L.U. What about Ramadan, what about Halloween, and are you going to forbid us from wishing each other Happy Thanksgiving?

No I don’t think you will because you don’t fear the other holidays. You only fear Christmas and anything to do with Jesus Christ or Almighty Jehovah God. I don’t see you trying to take anybody else’s name off monuments or worrying about people using any other name. Well you’re right about one thing, there is no other name like it. Never has been, never will be.

Well at my house we will say Merry Christmas, we will have a Christmas tree, we will eat Christmas dinner, we will give Christmas presents, we will be in the Christmas spirit, and along with our friends and family we will celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Well I just have one thing to say to the A.C.L.U. and all the other
Scrooges who are trying to deny the true meaning of Christmas.

Merry Christmas.

Pray for our troops.

What do you think?

God Bless America
