Pat
Tillman 04/30/04
Academic
arrogance and liberal superiority reached a new low this week
with the publishing of a letter in the University of Massachusetts
Amherst Daily Collegian.
It was
written by a student named Rene Gonzalez from Puerto Rico and
stated that Pat Tillman got what was coming to him, that he
was a macho Rambo and that his service was unnecessary.
The
article also stated that they should call Pat Tillmans
Army life, Rambo Four and in Gonzalezs native Puerto Rico,
Tillman would be considered an idiot.
Well
Rene, Ive got a few words Id like to say to you.
First
of all, you are not worthy to even mention the name of Pat Tillman
you arrogant, detestable little snit.
Pat
Tillman is a hero who gave his life for something he believes
in. Are you willing to do the same thing? Do you believe enough
in what youve said that youd be willing to give
your life for it? I seriously doubt it.
Youd
better be glad that there are Rambo types who are willing to
give their lives to give you the right to make stupid and unfeeling
statements.
Do you
think that freedom comes without a price? Do you think that
a bunch of supercilious academic rattlebrains like yourself
could have gone to Afghanistan and talked the terrorist threat
away?
I would
sincerely like to see you try. I dare say that after five minutes
in that country you would be looking for people like Pat Tillman
to save your misguided life.
When
you insult Pat Tillman you insult every man and woman who have
served in the military of this nation in two hundred and twenty-eight
history.
You
insult the brave men who stormed the beaches of Normandy, the
prisoners who spent years in the unimaginable misery of the
Hanoi Hilton. You insult every cross in Arlington cemetery and
every gray haired World War Two vet who proudly wears his American
Legion cap to the Fourth of July parade.
You
insult the mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, wives and
husbands who have buried loved ones who died preserving the
American dream.
You
insult the victims of 9-11 and all the innocents who have died
at the hands of terrorists around the world.
Let
me extend an invitation. Im going to Kosovo next week.
Why dont you come along and Im sure we can find
some Army Rangers who would be glad to discuss your opinions
with you?
On second
thought I guess thats a bad idea.
Pray
for our troops.
What
do you think?
God
Bless America
