I Just Don't Believe It 04/23/04

I don’t know when conspiracies started but it would be a pretty good wager that it was before the invention of the wheel. Some with some pretty sound footing and some so full of holes they resemble a colander

I dare say that if you could go back to the time of the assassination of Julius Caesar there would be a school of thought which would go far beyond Cassius and Brutus and their treacherous bunch.

There is a theory about the assassination of Abraham Lincoln that has existed since John Wilkes Booth pulled the trigger, linking the killing to high government officials. It was never proven.

We all know about the many schools of conspiratorial thought on the murder of John F. Kennedy and I’m sure that anybody who frequents the internet has seen theories of conspiracy on everything from the Oklahoma City bombing to the price of oil.

The internet is a wonderful invention, the greatest disseminator of information since the advent of television. A message can be flashed around the world in a matter of seconds and this within itself is a wonderful thing.

The problem is that a lot of the information being circulated in cyber space is completely unfounded and totally false.

In my opinion, the most spurious and insulting piece of disinformation being bounced around the internet now is the one which accuses President George Bush of having prior knowledge of the 9-11 incidents. To accuse any American President of knowing such a thing is an awesome indictment and as yet there is nothing more than supposition, invention and blind hatred to underpin such a horrible accusation.

I simply don’t believe one shred of it and would not accuse anybody short of a dyed in the wool terrorist of doing such a thing.

I think that Bill Clinton did some underhanded things while he was in office but never in my wildest dreams would I ever accuse him of knowing about 9-11 and not acting on the information. Nor do I think that John Kerry would be capable of such a thing.

We could have easily have lost a hundred thousand people on 9-11 had the Trade Towers been up to full strength, if the plane which hit the Pentagon had gone in from another angle and the
plane which was taken down in Pennsylvania had reached its unknown destination.

Why would a sitting President kill thousands of his fellow citizens, seriously harm the economy and destroy national icons of government and commerce?

The answer is that he didn’t. And neither did anybody else in this country. 9-11 was carried out by the wanton murderers of radical Islam, without the knowledge of our present President nor our former President.

Pray for our troops.

What do you think?

God Bless America.
