I have written several pieces in this column about my religious
beliefs. When I have done so I have received a few e-mails from
people who disagree with me and tell about it in no uncertain terms.

Now don’t get me wrong, I respect these people and their opinions.
After all I ask you folks to let me know what you think and if you
don’t happen to agree with me it’s perfectly all right.

I just don’t want anybody to misunderstand the reason I write them. Be
assured that I don’t think that I know everything, in fact I would be
the first one to admit that in the general scheme of things I know very
little.

Nor do I do it out of vindictiveness or any kind of spiritual snobbery.
It’s just that i believe the things I say and want to share them with
those who would listen. My efforts are actually motivated by love and
compassion. I just want to share my Savior with everyone.

There is so much misinformation floating around out there these days
and with the advent of the worldwide web it can be disseminated around
the world in the twinkling of an eye.

The are writings which claim that the Roman Emperor Constantine had the
Scriptures rewritten to include the deity of Jesus, which they hadn’t
contained before. There are claims of other virgin births and
resurrections from the dead but there is absolutely nothing concrete to
back up these claims.

Jesus Christ walked among men and performed countless well documented
miracles. He was crucified and rose from the dead being seen by many
people after He rose. His coming is prophesied in many places in the
Old Testament which was written long before Jesus was born. The Virgin
Birth was foretold along with the place He would be born and the manner
in which He would die.

But let’s talk about present day. I have seen Jesus pick up the pieces
of a broken life and put them back together again, bring people back
from the brink of death, bring peace where once only turmoil existed.

jesus saves broken marriages,heals sickness,calms the storms of life
and most important of all, He freely gives his
salvation to those who sincerely seek it.

I’m not tying to criticize or insult when I write these pieces. I just
want to tell you how I feel about Jesus Christ. I just hope that I can
motivate you to take a sincere look at Him and not be blinded by the
world’s opinion.

He is real, He is eternal, He is the only way to God. He can’t be
intellectualized away.

The Bible says in essence that man’s own brilliance will be his undoing.

The devil can’t do it, all the demons in hell can’t do it, all the
false doctrine in the world can’t do it and no amount of man made laws
will make the slightest dent in this reality.

So when I write these pieces please know that I write them because I
believe them and I truly care about your eternal souls.

“What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his
own soul.” Jesus Christ, New Testament.
