America
The Apostate 09/19/03
In the
Holy Bible it tells us of a day of great apostasy or a falling
away from God and the things of God. This is to take place in
the days
preceding the coming of the Antichrist, the Tribulation and
the return
of Jesus Christ.
In my
opinion, that day has arrived in America and the rest of the
world. The attempt to remove the name of God from all public
places
and ceremonies, the ordination of a gay Episcopal priest, the
violence,
the decline of moral authority, the increasingly secular society
which
is being forced on America by a handful of determined zealots
herald
the apostate condition of the United States.
These
people will tell you that the removal of God’s name from
public
monuments is merely an effort to establish the separation of
church and
state. They say that they are merely following the Constitution
and
the Bill of Rights. They say that it’s not right for Godly
symbols to
be publicly displayed without also displaying the symbols of
Muslims,
Hindus and every other religion.
This
is so bogus. First of all, the Constitution was written by men
who believed in God the Creator. Thomas Jefferson said in the
very
first sentence of the Declaration of Independence, and I quote,
“To assume among the powers of the earth the separate and
equal station
to which the laws of nature and nature’s God entitle them.”
George
Washington was known to be a praying man, even the Congress
of
the United States opens their sessions with a prayer by their
Chaplain.
So did
our forefathers, the framers of the Constitution intend for
us
to do away with the Judeo Christian principles on which this
country
was founded? There is not one shred of evidence in any of our
federal
papers which say so.
On the
contrary, the mention of God is prominent in the writings of
our
early patriots and public officials.
The
apostasy goes deeper than just the sordid attempt to remove
God
from public life. The morals of this nation are headed for the
sewer.
There is a concerted effort to normalize homosexuality and belittle
the
importance of marriage and family.
People
openly scorn the name of God and say that the Bible is out of
touch with today’s society.
Revisionist
history, humanism, new age, the taking of unborn life and
the “If it feels good do it” don’t worry about
the consequences
attitude which is inundating the society of this nation is appalling
and apostate.
The
Bible says in essence that man’s own brilliance will be
his undoing
and it’s happening every day. Unless this nation turns
back to God
there will be a terrible price to pay for the folly of listening
to
those misguided individuals who think they’re smarter than
God.
Sodom
and Gomorra were totally destroyed for their rampant sins. The
Hebrew children were banished from the promised land for forsaking
their God. Why will America be any different?
I don’t
really worry about Osama Bin Ladin and his fanatics destroying
this country. I don’t believe that there is a nation or
a combination
of nations on earth who can defeat us militarily.
What
concerns me is America’s rampant apostasy and losing divine
protection.
I sometimes wonder how long God will put up with us.
Pray
for our troops.
