CD’s manifesto

Lately my message board has been inundated with messages from a couple
of people who seem to fancy themselves as quite the experts and
considerably more intellectual than the rest of us.

I want to address some of their statements and I can’t find a better
place than this. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and
the Life, not a way, a truth and a life. He is not just a great
prophet, He is the only Son of Almighty God. And I want them to
understand just exactly where I stand.
You’ve attacked my Christianity.

No man comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ. He is the New
Covenant and you can rant and rave about it all you want to, but one of
these days your knee will bow and your tongue will confess that Jesus
Christ is Lord.

Now if you don’t believe that , take it up with God and by the way,
there is only one God to take it up with.

As I get a blessing when you speak ill of me because of my belief in
Jesus Christ, have at it, if you feel so inclined.

I believe every word in the Bible and the different versions do not say
something different as one person claimed. They say the same thing in
different terminology. Get a parallel Bible which has the King James
version and the new version side by side,verse for verse and check it
out for yourself.

Many prophecies in the Bible have been fulfilled, one of the most
important being the Jews going back to Jerusalem.

There are many more to be fulfilled and my feeling is that some of them
are going to be fulfilled soon. The elements are falling into place for
the second coming of Christ.

Somebody else is trying, with anti Semitic propaganda to convince me
that Israel is a racist state. I know that Israel may not be perfect,
but I have it on the authority of none other than the inerrant word of
God that Israel will be a nation from now on. I believe that Israel has
a God given right to exist and that they would gladly live in peace with
their neighbors if they’d just stop blowing up innocent Israeli
citizens.

Israel will play the key role in the fulfillment of Bible prophecies
from now until the end of the world, so get used to it.

Somebody wanted to explain to me why the Arabs hate America. There is
no just cause for anybody in this world to hate America. Jealously
maybe, envy maybe, but hate?

Who always rushes to the aid of any catastrophe? Who sends the most
food and medicine to third world nations? Who has given the
Palestinians billions of dollars? You know who. If America ceased to
exist tomorrow this world would suffer considerably.

And as to you people in this country who want to blame America for all
the ills of the world I would say to you that if you can find a better
place to live why don’t you do the rest of us a favor and pack your
bags.

You claim to want the best for the nation but in truth your rhetoric
smacks more of Lenin and Marx than Lincoln and Jefferson.

I believe that true marriage exists only between a male and female and
that has nothing to do with hate. I don’t hate anybody but the devil
and as far as I know he isn’t married to anybody.

You call us ignorant rednecks and I’ll grant you at least half of your
assumption. We may be rednecks but we damn sure ain’t ignorant. The
degrees which hang on your wall don’t make you the world’s foremost
authority on all subjects. There are a lot of educated fools teaching
in some of our biggest universities

So don’t get all high and mighty just because you use good grammar.
I drive an S.U.V. and as long as I can afford to put gas in it, I don’t
think it’s anybody’s business.

I have a lot of guns, I even have a permit to carry one. I have never
pointed a loaded gun at a human being and will never do so unless my
family or myself are in imminent danger.

I love football and Nascar and the last thing I want to hear on the
radio is All Things Considered.

I believe that the war we are involved in is not of our making and that
we have the right, no the duty, to pursue it in whatever corner of the
world it leads us to.

I believe that we should maintain a fully equipped, well paid standing
army,ready to defend the interests of the United States anywhere on the
planet at a moment’s notice.
I believe that political correctness is the scourge of modern mankind,
underpinned with nothing more than semantics, innuendo,
touch freely, if we ignore it it will go away, so stick your head in the
sand, symbolism over substance.

I love the Atlanta Braves, the Tennessee Vols, the Tennessee Titans,
riding four wheelers and fishing for large mouth bass.

I believe in the sanctity of human life and think that an unborn baby
has a right to come into this world without being exposed to some
murderous abortionist’s scalpel.

I’m not nearly as concerned about global warming as I am the erosion of
family values.

I believe in school vouchers so that parents have some say in the
curriculum their children are being taught.

I believe in term limits for politicians, real campaign finance reform
and doing away with the electoral college. In my opinion politicians
who leak sensitive military information to the press, endangering the
lives of our troops, are traitors.

I think that anybody who burns a flag doesn’t have enough respect for
this nation to live in it.

I think the United Nations should be stripped of its military
capabilities and relegated to the role of diplomatic and humanitarian
pursuits.

I don’t believe that judges should be appointed for life as I think they
can outlive their good judgment.

I don’t believe in mandatory retirement at the age of 65. Elective, but
not mandatory.

I don’t believe that the framers of The Constitution meant for it to be
interpreted as it has been by some people, i.e. the judge in California
who wanted to take “under God” out of the Pledge of Allegiance. I
believe that if they had known what was going to happen they would have
used different terminology to insure that their meaning would be
understood clearly.

I believe in hard work, kindness, forgiveness and the right to speak out
in whatever way and in whatever forum we choose.

I believe in loving my fellow man and I don’t believe that turning the
other cheek means that Christians should be a doormat for the world to
walk over.

I believe in true charity for people who are unable to help themselves
but I believe that every able-bodied person is no better to work than
the next able-bodied person and I don’t believe in blind welfare which
encourages the birth of children who mean no more than a monthly check
to parents who use the money for drugs and alcohol. If you don’t
believe this go to any juvenile detention center and talk to the
officials there.

I believe that any man who fathers a child should be responsible for
that child’s support until it reaches the age of majority and I believe
that child molesters should receive the most severe penalties prescribed
by law.

And I believe that justice should be meted out according to the crime
committed, not the kind of lawyer you can afford to hire.

My forefathers came to this country just like everybody else’s and I
certainly acknowledge the rights of people of whatever culture to come
and live in this country, but if a person is still loyal to the country
they came from I think they should go back there.

And don’t start telling me how diversity has made this country great.
There is not one Muslim, Hindu or Buddhist signature on The
Constitution.

Whether you like it or not, this country was founded on Judeo Christian
principals. Read your history books. Who did George Washington pray to
in Valley Forge? It sure as heck wasn’t Allah. What does the congress
open every session with? It’s not a prayer to Buddah, it’s a prayer to
the one true God.

I love collard greens and pinto beans and I wouldn’t give you two cents
for 40 pounds of quiche and a hog vat full of tirimosu.

I believe that women handle certain areas of responsibility just as well
as men and should be promoted and paid accordingly.

I believe that some sports stars are spoiled, selfish louts and that
some sports agents are greedy beyond reason. And guess who picks up the
tab for their excesses.

I believe that we pay way too much tax and that if our elected officials
can’t run the country, the state or the county on what the American
people can afford to pay in taxes they should get the hell out of office
and let somebody who can come and run things.
I believe that the working man and woman are the backbone of America,
the ones who man the trucks, the machines, the plows,
and the desks, not the vodka martini sipping, politically correct snobs,
who never get their hands dirty, who wouldn’t know a socket wrench from
a ball-peen hammer, and who sit in their ivory towers pontificating and
adding precious little to the moral or industrial fabric of the nation.

I believe that all things on this planet, forests and animals included
are under the authority of man as mandated by God and I’ll be the first
one to admit that we’ve made some serious ecological mistakes in the
past. But the harvesting of timber is not going to destroy our
woodlands. In fact, it can have a totally opposite effect, and the
supervised hunting of animals
is not going to cause an ecological disaster.

And I would tell my message board detractors, I’ve been pillared by
much bigger fish than you. I’ve been picketed, called names and bad
mouthed in major publications. I’ve been talked to, talked about, lied
about and misquoted. But I’m still here.

You see, you people just don’t understand me or most of the people who
frequent the message board for that matter. Maybe what I’ve written
above will give you a clue as to what I am, and what I’m going to stay.

I bear you no ill will for what you have written. The message board is
an open forum for whatever comment you care to make. But this soapbox
is my forum to answer you back. Consider it done.

Pray for our troops.
