War with Iraq

The one thing that George Bush, Sr. did when he was President that I
really disagreed with was leaving Saddam Hussein alive when we pulled
out of Iraq. It’s very much like cutting the tail off a copperhead and
letting the rest of him slither back into the water, you’ll very likely
have to deal with him again somewhere down the line.

Saddam is a cruel, sadistic, megalomaniac who sees himself as the
re-embodiment of King Nebuchadnezzar in the glory days of Persia and
fantasies about rebuilding the Babylonian empire. He cares for nothing
but his own satanic ambitions, not hesitating to execute members of his
family or use poison gas on his own citizens if they disagree with him
in any small way. The day that he has nuclear capabilities is the day
that he will start using them and he comes closer to that fiendish goal
every day, while we sit in this country with senate committees arguing
about feasibility plans and options, while the mad man of the
twenty-first century plots catastrophic attacks on the world at large.

Have we taken leave of our senses? Are we just going to sit here and
twiddle our political thumbs while this monster moves the world a little
closer to holocaust with every passing minute. I’ve seen some e-mails
from people on my web site decrying the loss of innocent human life if
we go to war with Iraq and granted there will be many, but nothing in
comparison to the innocent human life which will be lost if Saddam is
allowed to reach nuclear capability.

It’s nothing short of lunacy to delay our attack on Iraq, and in my
humble opinion, politicians who try to make political hay from delaying
the inevitable should be sent to the front lines when the action finally
starts.

It took the murder of thousands of innocent Americans to wake this
country up to the extent of evil these devils are ready and willing to
do to our beloved nation. Saddam Hussein is no different from Osama Bin
Laden. He hates us and our way of life just as bad and would love
nothing better than lobbing a nuclear missile into the middle of Los
Angeles.

The longer we wait the stronger he gets. Nobody wants to go to war but
sometimes there is no alternative. If it weren’t so serious I could
almost laugh at the pompous college professors and idealistic dupes who
say “Stop the war”. Why can’t we have intelligent dialogue about this
thing and stop killing? Can’t you poor blind fools see that we stopped
the war for eight long years while your poster child, Bill Clinton was
in office and where did it get us? Thousands of dead citizens who did
nothing more than go to work on a Tuesday morning. There is no way of
ending the war until all terrorists have been put out of commission
permanently, like in boxes.

I say go after Saddam with both barrels blazing. Bomb his military
installations twenty four hours a day, push him into a corner and
completely destroy him and his military machine. In the first place, we
would be doing the people of Iraq a favor. These poor people have had
to live under his cruel oppression for years.

We’ve got a long way to go in making this nation safe from terrorism and
doing away with Saddam Hussein would be a great place to start. And
this time, let’s finish the job.

What do you think?
