The Will To Win

When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor in 1941 it was declaring
hostilities on a nation ill prepared for war. We had to begin fighting
in the Atlantic and Pacific and it was stretching us pretty thin.

Drastic measures had to be taken. Massive conscription of troops, plane
and ship factories had to come on line almost immediately, housewives
had to leave their domestic lives and man the assembly lines. Rationing
was introduced covering everything from gasoline to sugar.

We had air raid drills, blackouts and any number of inconveniences to
cope with, but we could handle it because we truly were one nation under
God,with the tenacity to persevere and the will to win.

Even the congress put off it’s partisan bickering and got onboard
passing whatever measures were needed to protect the nation and win the
conflict.
America was at war, and we went about it wholeheartedly with both
barrels blazing.

The elimination of Adolph Hitler was not a topic to be discussed
in stilted academic terms by media people and political pundits.
Everybody knew that Hitler was evil personified and that as long as he
was alive the world would not be a safe place.

Why can’t we see that Saddam Huessin is just as evil and just as
ruthless as Adolph Hitler. Hitler killed the Jews living in his own
country. Saddam killed the Kurds living in his own country.
Hitler wanted to rule Europe and beyond. Saddam wants to rule the
Middle East and beyond.

Hitler tolerated no dissension in the ranks and eliminated those
who opposed him in the slightest way. Saddam eliminates anyone he
chooses, even including his own family.

Hitler’s regime was working on developing the atomic bomb, and thank God
they never got it done. Saddam’s regime is trying to develop the atomic
bomb and we’d all better pray that he doesn’t perfect it before he is
taken out of power.

Saddam Huessin shouldn’t be allowed to live another day. It is a
forgone conclusion. There’s one thing you can’t change and that is the
truth, and the truth is that if Saddam is not taken out soon he is going
to cause catastrophic damage to the planet. Damage we can’t even
imagine.

Why do we make an academic exercise out of this situation? The fact of
the matter is that every day we sit and pontificate Saddam gets closer
and closer to perfecting his horrible weapons.

Now Saddam is saying he’ll let the U.N. inspectors back in. Well he’s
about eleven years too late. He’s just stalling for time and he doesn’t
need much more.

And of course if we go into Iraq there will be collateral damage.
Innocent people will killed. But the fact of the matter is that we will
kill as few civilians as we possibly can. We don’t target them. And
the same can’t be said for the other side. If Saddam could kill every
man woman and child in the U.S.A. at one time, do you think he would
hesitate to do it? Of course he wouldn’t.

And do you think that if Osama Bin Ladin had his hand on the red
button that he would hesitate to totally annihilate America?
Unenlightened naiveté and political correctness will be the death of
this nation.

Just yesterday I heard someone saying,”We need to sit down and discuss
the causes”.

We don’t need to discuss the causes. The causes are that there are some
evil people in this world who don’t want to live on the same planet with
us. And guess who they want to leave?

What do you think?
