Soap Box Archives Tax Cuts I am so sick and tired of hearing Democratic congressmen and senators getting on television and trying to scare the American people as to what the ramifications of a tax cut would be. The truth is that the stock market ride is about over, due to the rising price of oil and overvalued companies among other contributing factors, so our economy needs a little bump and what better than put more money into circulation. They will show you all kinds of arithmetic as to how the tax cut would effect you adversely but there is one piece of arithmetic they won’t show you, so I will. $1.00 paid in
tax $1.00 tax cut It’s simple folks, the reason these congressmen and senators don’t want to give you a tax cut is because it takes the money and therefore the power out of their spendthrift, incapable, inefficient hands to waste on their pet projects,and spend their way back into office again. The government produces no product, generates no revenue on it’s own and is the most messily run monolithic monument to waste that the world has ever known. Some of the congressmen and senators are so out out of touch that they are reduced to standing on the capitol grounds with a Lexus and a muffler protesting, giving us some of our hard earned money back. So as I said folks, it’s simple, who do you think spends your money more efficiently, you or the government? They tell you that it’s not fair that the people who make the most money will get the biggest tax cut, that’s an out and out lie. Percentage wise Bill Gates doesn’t get as big a tax cut as the people making the least amount of money because they will pay no tax at all. Of course, by virtue of paying so much tax he will get a bigger tax cut dollar wise. So will other people who make a lot of money. But where do you think the money invested in the stock markets and starting new businesses come from? These people don’t take the money they get back and bury it in the ground or put it in a vault. They put it into investments to work for them to make more money and pay more taxes, not to mention creating jobs. And hey all you Bill Clinton fans, remember him? The man who feels your pain, who is for the little man, who is so dead set against a tax break for the rich. Well he just pardoned Mark Rich, a man who probably owes hundreds of millions of dollars in back taxes and fled the country to keep from paying it. Not to mention that the scum bag has been trading with America’s enemies, even during the embargo's. I can’t wait to get e-mail from someone defending Mr. Slicko for that. Wake up America. Stop believing those people when they tell you that they have your best interest at heart If they did they would give your money back to you to spend as you please, not take your hard earned tax dollars and feed it to the big fat sow in Washington?
