Eco Terrorists

Somehow I cannot find the least bit of justice nor the least bit of sanity in destroying someone else’s property for some cause . Point in case, what does the burning of SUV’s have to do with the saving of the environment? The truth be known the bunch of eco kooks who burned a sales lot full of SUV’s last week in Eugene, Oregon did more harm to the environment in a couple of hours than the exhaust from these vehicles would have done for quite a while, all that rubber and paint releasing it’s toxic fumes into the air. These people are completely off the wall and should be dealt with harshly. If they are let go they will be off on a tangent and there’s no telling where it will end. Will they start murdering people who’s views differ from theirs. Will they start blowing up power plants? Will they start sabotaging airplanes and derailing locomotives and anything else which doesn’t fit their bigoted and fascist like view of the way things would be? They are simply trying to force their views on the rest of the population and doing so by force and if our politicians have one ounce of brainpower, which I doubt sometimes, they’ll make an all out effort to nip this in the bud and put these people behind bars where they belong. The logging industry has been plagued with these people for many years in their misguided quest to save the spotted owl. What makes me sick more than anything else about these people is that they are willing to cause all kinds of misery to save a bird that most of us never knew existed, and would not raise a finger to stop the slaughter of unborn children. If these people have their way there will be one national park from the atlantic to the pacific, the country would be plunged into darkness when all the electricity being produced by coal,oil and nuclear would be shut off, industry would grind to a standstill. The farmers would have to stop producing food and the military would cease to exist. California has already found out the folly of giving in to these radicals and are experiencing blackouts and other inconveniences caused by not allowing the building of power plants and exploration of other energy sources. Now before some of you left wing watch dogs get your poison pens out, let me say a couple of things. First of all, I care passionately about the environment and I take care of my little piece of the earth. I don’t even throw a gum wrapper on the ground, and yes I’m even kind to wild animals. Just ask the raccoons who eat the left over food out of my dog’s bowl on the back porch, or the wild turkeys who roam my barnyard or the white tail deer who graze my pastures and gracefully jump my fences. I learned about taking care of the environment from an expert, my dad, who made his living in the timber business. The timberlands he harvested bore new trees decade after decade because they were managed properly. Nature and man were served because of his knowledge and compassion for the forests of his beloved pine trees, and I love the woods and waters as much as any man. I just happen to think that man can live in harmony with nature. God gave us this planet to subdue and make our living , and yes, to take care of. But taking care of it and being militantly megalomaniacal about it are two different things. I’ll take care of the planet but I’ll also take care of my property and I’ll tell you what, the first S O B who burns my S U V is going to get a 357 in his butt.
