President Bush

There was a piece in the newspaper the other day about President Bush talking about his faith. He says that he prays regularly and unabashedly proclaims his beliefs. Sure enough some idiot was quoted as saying that he was trying to push his religion off on the rest of the country. Well let me put it like this , the guy who wrote that could probably use a little old time religion and President Bush would be doing him an eternal favor if he could push a good dose of Christianity his way. But folks, that just ain’t the way it is. President Bush is talking about how he believes and you know something, if he’s said that he was a Buddhist, a Humanist, a Moslem or any other faith other than Christian this guy more than likely would have had no problem at all. He would probably have been carrying on about the deep spiritual man that the president is. I’m getting sick and tired of these people sitting back taking pot shots at the followers of Jesus Christ and thinking it’s cool. It ain’t cool. Why is the world so afraid of Jesus and Christians? If they only had sense enough to know that true Christians are the most gentle, caring people in the world. Hollywood treats Jesus with calloused disrespect while glorifying humanism and mystical eastern religions. You can’t even mention Jesus’ name in a public school, you can’t pray for the safety of young high school football players before a game. and why, because a miniscule minority claim to be offended at the mere mention of Jesus’ name. Every Easter the nay sayers come out of the wood work trying to disprove the deity of Jesus. They claim that he was a great teacher, and I’m sure he was the best teacher he ever was. They say he was a prophet and I agree he was the greatest prophet who ever prophesied. They say he was a good man, yes he was by far the best man who ever lived. But the one thing they are not willing to admit is that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, rose from a tomb and that he is the indisputable son of Almighty God. Anything less than that is simply not the whole truth. These people should be in love with Christians, if it was not for praying Christians this country would be in even worse shape than it’s in. If I understand my Bible, this world is winding down to the last days, the time of the Antichrist. I have absolutely no idea when the second coming will happen, how many days or how many years. But I can tell you this. As sure as the sun came up today it is going to happen and when it does there will be no one who will deny the deity of Jesus Christ. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. I feel sorry for these people who have become so wise that they are unwilling to acknowledge the one true God and the one he sent to earth with the free gift of eternal salvation. Have heart Christians. We’re gonna win this thing. And in the words of Forrest Gump, that’s all I’ve got to say about that.
