2001 Soap Box Archives Have we lost our minds? Can somebody tell me in the name of common sense why we ever sent aid to the Russians? Is there anybody dumb enough to think that anything more than a token amount ended up anywhere except in the pockets of the Russian mafia and their partners the corrupt politicians? The Russian mafia is starting to be a problem in this country and I predict they will become a bigger problem as time goes by. So what do we do? We blithely finance our own social demise, giving these people seed money to expand their worldwide criminal empire. If the Russians are in such need can somebody tell me why they are still spending so much money on new weapons? They recently unveiled some new military hardware that I’m sure is not meant to produce food for their their hungry masses. Why can’t we recognize the Russian government for what it is, a bunch of crooks and gangsters who care nothing for their own people, much less the rest of us? Think about it, nuclear weapons in the hands of these despicable scum bags. Any yet, day after day I hear these supposedly intellectual talking heads tell us why we don’t need a missile defense system. This is insanity. It’s crazy enough to sit around and allow a psychopath like Saddam Hussein to develop nuclear weapons and the capability to deliver them and ignore the fact that thanks to Mr. wonderful from Arkansas and his bunch of politically correct numb brains, China now possesses our nuclear secrets and would not hesitate using them. We should forge ahead with the missile defense system. When the bombs start falling it’s too late. Of course Russia and China don’t want us to develop a defense system because it means that we are not vulnerable to their blackmail. And it means they would have to try to build one, a capability which I believe neither one of them have the technology nor the money for. Will this country ever wake up to the fact that regardless of how the media and wimpy, milksop politicians lead us down the primrose path, that there is a dangerous world out there, we are the most envied and despised country in the world. We, with the help of Almighty God are the only thing standing between the free countries of the world and total anarchy. The same people who tell us that a missile defense system won’t work is the same bunch of nay sayers who warned us about Saddam Hussein’s republican guard and the inefficiency of our smart bombs and lots of other things which only made them look like fools when the republican guard came apart like a cheap suit and television showed our smart bombs land with the accuracy of a swiss watch. Let them howl, let them whine, let them continue to tell us what's wrong with America. But if they really want to discover what’s wrong with America, they could start by looking in the mirror.
