Politicians

God told Abraham that he would spare Sodom and Gomorrah for a few righteous men. If he were looking for a few righteous men in Washington could he find them? I'd certainly like to think so, although I would be hard pressed to get past my fingers while listing them. Washington has grown into a strange place. No longer do we get a chance to vote for the best candidate but the one who has the lesser of the evils, the one who looks good on TV, articulates the best sound bites, is the darling of the media. Politicians nowadays are as concerned as much today with what they don’t say as they are with what they do say. Political correctness, a self serving, agenda driven media and downright silliness have robbed us of the opportunity to get a look at the real man or woman running for office. Instead of being able to espouse their true feelings they base their responses on polls and surveys, choosing what they feel will get them votes rather than the truth. We don’t get to know the real candidate. They hide behind their minions who keep them out of tight spots and situations where they would be hit with truly hardball questions, as they tell us what they think they want us to hear rather than the way they really feel about the issue. And in the rare occasion when they are thrown a few hard balls they refuse to give an honest answer, answering a question with a question and pouring forth tons of useless rhetoric when a simple yes or no would do. And then we have all the talking heads on television telling us what they really mean and how they really stand. It seems that it is no longer what you are but what you can convince people that you are, or ain't, in some cases. We need some honest answers, we have some big problems in this country. Since the passing of NAFTA our southwestern borders have become a sieve where illegal drugs pour through daily. Drugs bound and targeted for the addiction of our youth. We are passing a permanent trade agreement with China, who has one of the most oppressive human rights records on the planet, and who we probably never will be able to sell enough Pepsi Cola and hamburgers to to make up the trade deficit. No matter what anybody says, Russia has not come close to playing out her part on the world stage and is probably the loosest canon we face. After the fiasco of the seventies we are still dependent on Middle Eastern oil, a spot on the map which could blow sky high any day. Whatever happened to alternative fuel? It seems we never learn our lesson. Our educational process is in shambles and no politician has the guts to stand up and put the blame where it really belongs. They are afraid of the teacher’s union. Our children bring guns to school and kill each other while all the politicians can think of to do is pass another law. None of them have the guts to stand up and face the true enemy, a welfare system which in many cases supports the coffers of the neighborhood dealers. They will not state the fact that when a man fathers a child he should be forced to support it until the age of majority. Yet they take the easy way out and keep sending our tax money to our third generation of welfare families. our city streets are war zones and all they can think about is trigger guards. Our children are being molested by scum ball predators and just once I would love to see somebody get up on the floor of congress and call these vermin what they really are. The lowest form of animal life on earth, who should be taken off the street at their first offense and executed on their second. Fat chance that will ever happen. It’s a scary thought to me that a woman with Hillary Clinton’s past can have a legitimate chance of becoming president some day, just because the media likes and protects her. It’s time for some straight talk.

Pray for our troops.

What do you think?
