2000 Soap Box Archives Fat Power I do believe that I heard the most ridiculous thing on television the other night that I've ever heard. They are trying to pass a law in San Francisco to prevent discrimination against fat people. Where does this junk stop? What’s next - short people, people with pimples, left handed people, people who wear glasses? This political correctness trash is silly and serves only to turn this nation into a bunch of lilly livered, panty waist, limp wristed, soft spoken milk sops that can be herded around like a bunch of sheep by politicians with the morals of an alley cat . The recently passed hate laws are an example of a society slowly slipping into semanical lunacy. I think that if you murder anyone it’s a pretty good sign that you hate that person whether they be straight or gay, black or white, fat or skinny. Why do we need another law when we don’t enforce the ones we have on the books now. The same crowd of dubious do gooders who scream for hate laws and such are the first ones who pitch a fit at the mere mention of enforcing the death penalty. These people literally make me sick. They’ll go to any lengths to save a baby seal but won’t lift a finger to save an unborn child. They’ll get out in the streets and march for “women’s rights” but when a woman, not of their political persuasion ,i. e. Paula Jones, gets wronged they turn a blind eye and a deaf ear. They castigate the Jim Bakers of this world while supporting a lying president who can’t keep his fly zipped up, even in the oval office. They scream about gays not being able to serve in the military they don’t even support. If this nation doesn’t get some kind of moral leadership and if these people continue to dominate the media and politics, what will this nation turn into? We’ll just have to stop talking to each other for fear we’ll say something that’s against the law. You won’t be able to criticize anything . Can you just imagine what’s going to happen when the liberal politicians have raised their vote buying social programs until there are more non- productive people than productive people. When the majority of the people are on the dole and the hard working men and women of this nation can no longer bear the burden of this runaway train. When there’s no one left to pick the cotton, and not enough tax money to go around, when some gay person sues the military before some bleeding heart judge and tears our fighting forces all to pieces. When our prisons get so full that we don’t have anywhere to incarcerate the criminals. When you have to traverse our city streets in an armored vehicle. When our slowly disappearing liberties have gone away like school prayer. Wake up America. I'll say it again. Wake up America!!!! The hard working, God fearing people of this nation have got to stand up and be heard. I pray for America. I pray to the very God who has been treated so poorly in our nation. He is a merciful God or else this country would have already gone the way of Sodom and Gomorrah . What do you think? God
