Children And Crime

As we all know we had another school shooting recently. As sad as they all are this one held an extra degree of horror, in that a six year old child killed another six year old child. Already the anti gun people in Washington are screaming for more gun control. As if another law would have prevented this sordid event. The deplorable condition this child was living in, surrounded by drugs, users and dealers, his father in prison, abandoned by his mother with no one to care what happened to him. Doesn’t that seem more likely to cause what happened than the stolen gun he found stashed away in the crack house he was living in? In my book this poor child was an accident just waiting to happen, a stick of dynamite just waiting to explode. I have said it many times and I will reiterate. I would gladly give up my guns, every one of them if it would stop the violence on the streets of this nation. But if I did I would leave my home unprotected from criminals who are forbidden by law to have a gun anyway. It is not the legal guns in this country which cause the trouble, it’s the illegal ones in the hands of punks and thugs who have no respect for life or property. The answer is simple. Get these people off the street and you’ll get the violence off the streets I am so sick and tired of this bleeding heart criminal coddling attitude that it’s not the person who does the crime but the society which has abused him. I agree with one thing, it is society alright but not one that abuses him but one which refuses to punish him when he does wrong. I see people demonstrate against the death penalty, saying that it’s wrong and defending some of the most ruthless and hideous criminals against the punishment they deserve. They say it’s not a deterrent. It’s not supposed to be a deterrent, it is a punishment and it accomplishes what it’s supposed to do, get one monster off the street. Why do we never see these people demonstrating for the victims of these scum bags? The mother who’ll never see her son reach maturity because some punk decided to stick a gun out the window of a car and murder someone he doesn’t even know. The father who was cut down in the prime of life simply because he worked the late night shift in a convenience store. The little girl who was kidnapped and raped and savagely murdered by some pervert who has been in trouble before and should have been in prison anyway. I am appalled that in this year of Presidential primaries I haven’t once heard the word drugs used by any of the candidates. I haven’t heard anything about cleaning up our cities and making our streets safe to walk. What we need is a law and order President and Congress. We don’t need new laws. We need to enforce the ones we have on the books now. We need a President who will appoint federal judges who will mete out justice in accordance to the crime and enforce the federally mandated death penalty. Recently the drug lords in Tijuana, Mexico murdered the chief of police. That’s just across the border from San Diego, California. It’s a war that is going to spill across the border bringing with it a wanton violence the likes of which this country has never seen. Do we want our officials murdered, our whole process corrupted, our very way of life threatened? Wake up America.
