Taxes

Have you ever stopped and thought about the percentage of your hard earned money that goes to tax in one form or another? Payroll taxes, as burdensome as they are, are just the tip of the iceberg. Every gallon of gas, every movie ticket, airline ticket or concert ticket is taxed. You pay property taxes, poll taxes and you even have a tax at your death. Try a little experiment, for a month keep all your receipts for everything you spend. Groceries, gasoline, entertainment, everything you lay out in a month’s time. At the end of the month add up all the tax on the receipts plus the deductions from your paychecks for the month and you’ll be amazed at the amount of tax you’ve paid. I realize that tax is the price for living in civilization, there are no taxes in the jungle, but hey, enough is enough. It would even be a little more bearable if our politicians would exercise some prudence when they spent our hard earned tax dollars. But they don’t. They recently sent billions of dollars to Russia which lined the pockets of an already powerful Russian mafia. America’s money only serves in making them more powerful. I believe in helping people, but the sad truth is that most of the money we send to needy countries ends up in the bank accounts of tyrants and crooks. It never reaches the people who need it. I know some charities who could take a tenth of the money our government sends to these countries and get ten times the amount of good done with it. They could get the clothing, food and medicine to the needy people not to some scum bag crook masquerading as a political leader. Out of every dollar we put into the government about 70 cents goes to sustain the bloated, top heavy bureaucracy. I'd rather put my money into honest charities where the cost of operation is limited to a few cents on the dollar. Talk about more bang for the buck. I truly believe that I'm more qualified to use my money for good than are the spendthrifts in Washington and many of the state capitols around the nation. My bible tells me that we should help widows and orphans and as a Christian I believe that with all my heart. I truly believe in helping those who really can’t help themselves. But I don’t believe in helping those who can help themselves and are just too lazy to do it. Nobody is too good to earn their own living. Evidently those in our nation’s capitol disagree. When a man fathers a child he should be forced to support that child until it reaches the age of majority. Again those in Washington disagree, as they use our tax dollars to support millions of children who’s fathers get off scott free to continue to father more children to be put on the welfare rolls. There is an advertisement on television which offers to find anybody you wish to locate for a nominal fee. Our government should avail itself of these services and find these bums and either make them pay or put them in jail. And what right does the government have to come along at a person’s death and tax what he has already paid taxes on. It just isn’t right, our government is out of control, they’re sick with power and the pork they send back home comes out of our barrel. Everytime somebody starts talking about a meaningful tax cut the same old bleeding hearts start screaming about tax cuts for the rich. Well who cares as long as the poor and middle class get a tax cut too. America, don’t fall for this anymore. These people tell you that they want to improve education, increase law enforcement, eradicate drugs and clean up the streets of America. When all they really want to do is stay in power and spend your hard earned money. Let’s bring them all home and let them see what it’s like to earn an honest living and pay taxes on it.
